The sound design being awful is really bad to hear.

Sound design was one of the reasons Overwatch was so phenomenal compared to almost every other FPS out there. It was unmatched.

Also I'm not surprised to hear tanking and healing suck now. There's a problem with listening to the community on game balance

-"Balance" inevitably leads to homogenization, with unique builds being made more similar to the default. We first saw this with the split into "tank/support/damage". There was a time early on in the game during pubs where any tank other than Reinhardt wasn't taken seriously, and half the unique damage classes were shit on.

-Listening to opinions on balance leads to taking a hammer to things that "feel" bad rather than things which are actually bad for the game. It feels bad to get stunned by McCree (idk his new name) or to have Mercy revive people, but it leads to faster paced more dynamic gameplay. While I haven't played OW2, I assume it's a lot more of "everybody deathstar around the tank and healer and nobody dies until someone ults".

If it wasn't important for the brand to insist Blizzard is a "hardcore gamers" company they probably would have never released OW2 at all. It's a marketing gimmick, not one of their actual cash cows or serious projects like dontyouguyshavephonesablo

I can confirm when I did get in for a short time yesterday, the game did in fact recognize that I was an OW1 veteran

I can't believe Blizzard actually killed OW1 for this. I've never heard of any company deleting a game entirely the day a sequel comes out. And it's not even a sequel. I've jumped around several Twitch streams and it's the exact same game. All the maps are exactly the same. Even the hero abilities are the same. The only thing new are the characters, which just as easily could have been added to OW1. This has to be one of the most lackluster sequels of all time. Asked me years ago and I would have told you there was nothing stopping me from getting OW2. But as soon as Jeff Kaplan left, I knew this game was in trouble. I can't believe they screwed this up so terribly.

Overwatch had stopped providing a cash flow.

Like Papercup said, it's not really a sequel in the traditional sense. It's just an excuse to adjust the monetization strategy and get new eyes on the game.

The one south west of Coastal Cove? Don't even know how to get there.

Based on where you are now, beat Stormveil and then go North to finish Liurnia (either explore or if you're feeling confident head straight for the academy).

He means the peninsula across the bridge to the South. I'm assuming you've already done that, but if not it's lower level than Stormveil.

Even in the 90s Pocahontas got some flak for its rose tinted rewriting of history.

I can't imagine it gets remade in year of our Lord 2022 without a complete rewrite. Which could ironically turn it into the most worthwhile remake if they create something good.

But I suspect Disney will just sweep it under the rug.

I think a big problem is me not being able to get timing right for various things like parrying and dodging. I think I'm starting to show my age where I'm not as quick as I used to be.

Oh this reminds me, make sure you're at "medium" equip load.

If you're at heavy either take off armor or up your endurance.

The game punishes you for being over equipped and I don't think it's obvious for new players.

Are you using summons? I genuinely feel like you're not playing the game as intended if you avoid them, the game tries hard to direct them towards you.

Otherwise, make sure you have enough vigor to not get one shot, and try different directions if you're hitting a wall. The "intended" progression through areas is not intuitive imo. It's very easy to go somewhere you aren't ready for.

It's extremely difficult to prove the existence of someone who wasn't extremely wealthy, unless they actively wrote diaries. Generally the only way to prove the existence of someone is whether they wrote about themselves or other people wrote about them. Jesus actually has the latter in spades, just none dated from the time he was alive.

It's very likely that someone roughly analogous to Jesus existed but it's difficult to say more than that.
