I remember when I was in uni freshman year, there was a challenge by the anime club that would reward people masochistic enough for being willing to sit through the entirety of the endless eight, unsurprisingly there were very few takers. Can't even remember what the reward was, but it was something that would not have been worth sitting through the same shit 8 times for more than 2 hours or so.Man, I would have been so down. I speedrun; literally speedrunning is the act of doing the same thing thousands of times. I've played and beaten Super Mario Odyssey 100's of times since it came out, along with beating SM64 quite a number as well. I love Groundhog Day type stuff anyways, so that alone would have carried it along. It is an anime arc that lasted 8 episodes that took the concept of groundhog day and went even more in with it. Imagine Groundhog Day, but Bill Murray doesn't realize he's stuck in a loop, so we're just following him doing the same thing over and over as he's unaware that this is the case. Basically, every episode is just the same thing over and over with a few shots from different camera angles so it's isn't exactly the same. Imagine being a fan of the anime, and around the week 3-4 part, you literally have no idea how many more "new" episodes are just going to be what you watched the week before with a minute of new content sprinkled in. I read one discussion as the show was going on from some anime discussion site like a long time ago, and it was so funny to see the meltdowns. If they personally don't think it needs to be changed all too much, they can always just recreate the previous Constitution and ratify it as the new Constitution. It'd just allow countries to contemplate every x number of years if there are any major overhauls that need to be made that typically would be difficult to do through the insanely difficult amendment process. I can't fault the Founders for every issue that may be outdated at this point as who knows what the world will look like in 250 years. | PiOverlord 07/28/22 2:21:55 AM #22 | Honestly, I know this may come across as strange, but is comforting to know that there is not some internal force such as a chemical imbalance causing depression. Sure, there's medication, but it always made it feel like a hopeless fight. I had severe depression during college. I never told anyone here directly, but I feel comfortable saying it now that those thoughts have since, gone away completely. I bought a rope twice with the intention of using the ropes to kill myself. The first rope was confiscated after I got drunk and confessed to some RA's about it, but I bought another shortly after. I thought about it soooo much, and even wrote several suicide notes and put the rope around my neck countless times. I can't even put into details the level of research I went through on the subject. There were so many nights where I just couldn't control myself and just started bawling. I'd be walking around campus, and felt like I was about to break-down, so I'd have to go back to my dorm just so I could cry in secret. There were two major incidents that really brought me to the brink, one in my 2nd year, and another in my grad year, but I made it through both. That final summer before I started working last year, I started to feel better, not as down on myself, overall happier. Best of all, the pure hatred I felt toward myself was replaced with compassion and love. I did end up getting a prescription in October for anti-depressants, though, as I really wanted to see if it'd help make sure I stayed that way. Since then, I haven't really noticed a difference, and have stopped taking the pills as of a few weeks ago because I just don't really feel the need to take them.
