I think Massachusetts had something like that as well, but there's "specialty stores", and then there's what I have, which are state-controlled liquor stores. There is no private ownership. The only liquor you can buy outside of the state stores is beer and wine cooler-type beverages, and the state stores are closed on Sundays and government holidays.

Right, I was referring to Mass in my post.

I was born in NH and they have state-run stores for hard liquor and you can buy beer/wine at licensed food retailers.

In terms of penalty or punishment, I think any additional sentencing will be a drop in the bucket, given that they're all facing life in prison, with only one with viability of parole in 30 years.

The hate crime in this case is federal, whereas the actual murder was charged state-level. I'd need someone more versed in criminal law than me to determine what's the actual difference besides the public statement being made of recognizing this as a hate crime.

I too live in a state with laws saying liquor (including beer and wine) can only be sold in licensed liquor outlets.

I feel that latter part is the more significant element, and have no idea why the first part was even worth mentioning in the article, let alone first.

Honestly if I have a criticism of Dread it's this with regards to the backgrounds. There's not a lot of variance in the biomes. It's largely cave, tech, and lab. There is fire and ice stuff but it's kind of segregated into short series of rooms.

I think the enemies are largely good though.

Samus Returns was also very good.

I feel that the worst part of SR was the fact that it was on a 3DS, which doesn't lend itself well to tightly controlled games. Scale up to a console and a controller and that diminishes considerably.

Also I feel like I can barely play a 3DS anymore. I get all scrunched up with my face right next to it and my hands get all crampy and I can't get comfortable so I'm leaning on an arm that's going to start hurting and maybe I'm just fucking old.

The animated sprites were better, but they didn't actually have like CG art or anything like that.

EDIT: Okay I checked out Hyper, Super, and Super Turbo and they're ALL the same for Ken's ending as Champion Edition. Same non-animated sprite for Eliza.

Only difference is in Super Turbo there's an extra CG at the end of the two of them shopping.
