Like, I'll always dream of Rush Hour 4, but that's largely in part to the comedy that comes with the action. Tom Cruise is it. You don't have to love the guy personally, but he makes a movie happen. He's arguably an influence to subsequent action films and sequences. Sadly, not as many take from Jackie Chan's fight scenes when they should. I get that there's a higher risk of injury and stuff, but mechanics and creative use of surroundings should at least be more considered. It's crazy how bland and cheap a modern fight scene can be compared to a Jackie Chan fight scene. They are starting young but the logic I see is both them are possibly gaining off a head start. But then again a lot of this audience is probably coming from a more conservative background. Sometimes people prematurely calling foul are the ones who are more prone to get swayed into that they condemn. Like, they're the ones seeing Hyerin some type of way. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in just seeing the draw of the group in their performances. They do come with a sound and concept that is so far coming off as their own in a typically repetitive industry where many try to just one up each other. Hopefully all this noise doesn't ruin the group. That's why some people are happy single. Their relationship prospects, or just the idea of a relationship period isn't good enough to take them out of their current lives. Personally, my only current reason I could see myself pursuing hard is if I adopted a kid (which would be circumstantial too, not because I look for it), knew they needed a mother, and I needed the help. No one is really offering something that I think actually improves my life particularly at least in my locality. Thinking it's a necessity to have a companion is a setup for failure or just going to start a path of lies.
