I have nothing but good memories of my son as a baby.
Dirty diapers are so overblown. It's such a minor thing and takes a minute or two to deal with.
My son rarely cried with me, but I was out of the house from 6am to 4pm, and when I got home we'd usually take a nap together then hang out for the evening.
Middle of the night stuff was 50/50 with his mom and I.

Oh yea diapers I don't give a shit about. I used to worry about it, like "eww I have to touch poop", but quickly learned it's not a big deal.

Oh that's another thing... Literally wife and I are stuck in the house 24/7 because you can't bring this girl anywhere! For one, she obviously doesn't give a shit to be anywhere since she can't see beyond like a foot, and two she constantly cries. Doctors think it's colic, which when I googled, it means "she's perfectly healthy and we have no fucking clue why she's crying".

Edit: I guess I'm lucky I have 6 weeks of paternity leave, and the wife has 3 months of disability and maternity leave... But I would rather honestly be at work than dealing with this crap.

This 4 week old baby is a piece of shit. All she does is cry loudly, demand constant and immediate attention, poop, pee, spit up, and sleep in 1-4 hour intervals. Sometimes, she cries for absolutely no reason for hours. Not even a smile, a show of appreciation, nothing during the past month. How can anyone actually love doing this shit?

I feel like no one talks about how awful having a newborn is. Everyone I talked to always say how magical it is and how amazing it is... But it's fucking not; it's exhausting. There's a reason why you watch "don't shake the baby" video and sign off that you won't in the hospital.

Recently switched from Spotify to YouTube Premium (which includes YouTube Music), and I have to say that YouTube Premium is worth the extra $2/mo. Windowed overlay on mobile phones and no ads are freakin amazing.

All depends, as others have posted. For reference: I have three vehicles (two 2019s, one 2010 beater), full coverage for all three ($500 collision deductible and $100 comprehensive deductible), $1mil liability, $1mil property damage, full tort, stacked under/uninsured, two drivers, and it costs us $1200/six months.

I helped my good friend's parents apply for SSI, and it was easy as fuck. All they needed was a SSA online account, apply online, and they call for an interview in about a month; then afterwards, about a month later, they got money in their accounts.

They have very little things, which by default makes it easier to move. The more stuff you have, the harder it is the move.

You're right I neglected social help through friends and family; I don't believe that's necessary. SSI pays $841/mo maximum and food stamps give you $250/mo. Add a basic $10/hr job and you're making $33k equivalent.

Section 8 requires you to pay only 30% of rent; assuming rent is $1200/mo, which is generous, you'll only be responsible for $360/mo.

You can totally do this.

What do you mean transfer? SSI is a federal benefit that is administered by the feds, and it goes straight to your bank account. Medicaid, sure, that takes time to transfer, but it's all backdated so you won't be responsible for any bills anyway.

There's a curve, right? Being really poor or really rich will make it easier to move in my opinion. Once you're wealthy enough to own a house is when I would say it gets significantly harder to move; then once you get more wealthy beyond that, it gets easier to move.

Brah, it costs like a couple hundred bucks to rent a UHaul and that's all you need. If your wealth is average and own a house, then you have to go get another house (which is so much harder than just renting a place), and sell your home, AND move all that shit with you, which a UHual is probably not enough for. You're looking at at least $15k in moving expenses and closing costs, let alone a down payment for a new house.

Honestly, the less wealthy you are, the easier and cheaper it is for you to move: no need to sell or buy a house, not a whole ton of possessions to move with you... All you need is a new job at the location, and if your skills are good enough, moving's even paid for. If not, just go rent a UHaul for a couple hundred bucks and go find a place to rent.

Pretty easily, since it's as simple as following the Constitution. The Constitution says you have the right to bear arms, so you do. It says nothing about the right to scrape the "unwanted cells" (of your child) out of your body, so until the legislature says you do per the 10th, you don't. It's really that simple.

Legally speaking, what NYC did is complete bullshit where only the rich and powerful can get guns. So on one hand, I'm all for this. They should make licensure harder, like have a knowledge test, practical test, psychological test, etc. But I also wonder if having these type of tests will get challenged again...

That was the cheapest I could find, for Winchester. TulAmmo and Wolf were cheaper, at like $0.39/Rd, but i don't trust their ammo... Plus they're Russian brands.

By the way, I bought 200 rounds of Winchester 5.56 FMJ for $110 from OpticsPlanet. Can't wait for it to get delivered, so I can bring it to the range and fire some rounds.
