Its gimmick match with a wrestler known for doing outlandish things. The only reason it got any attention was due to Moxley wanting to have silly fun. Which he built his entire career on.

If it wasn't Mox and the spot was more involved with a more "goofy" wrestler, people wouldn't be as up in arms about this. They've built up an image of what they think he should be, but he's never been defined by anything.

It's like Van Halen introducing synth in Jump. They have this preconception of how they should act, but it doesn't devalue their image or presence in any way.

I think it's the opposite. If it wasn't Moxley people wouldn't be so gung ho to defend it. Regardless, nobody should be doing this.

I'm progressive as hell, but I still won't defend or downplay stealing like some do. They need to get some perspective and stop being such bleeding hearts.
