Yes indeed. I feel like all of the temples are a pain at some level whether major or minor. The shadow one was tedious.

Ice and Earth aren't too bad, Shadow is definitely a bit much with the follow the leader shit.

My love for aerial combos is pretty much why I am one of those tales of fans that really loves some xillia 2 combat since damn near everyone is capable of a little aerial action to some extent. Leia and milla are the air combo queens but dammit I can even get gaius' big ass to do a little somethin' somethin' in that game. Any tales of game that has air combos like destiny DC and hearts R is pretty fun.

God I want xillia 2 ported to a modern console or the PC so damn bad so I can play it with like no slowdown.

tbh the aerial ability is one of the only saving graces of symphonia 2 because Emil was pretty fun to play as no joke

60 fps battles and being able to do multiplayer on PS2 abyss is way superior than whatever the 3DS version did. *I will agree that the PS2 load times was ass though*

Hm, well, I have actually tried Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology on an emulator before and from what I remember the shortcuts were activated by left shoulder button while free running was the analog stick, with the dpad being for 2D movement and artes. Would it be safe to assume that Abyss 3DS has a similar control scheme?

It depends on if it's from the start or added in later like some games do. If it's the former, yes, if it's the latter it depends on how it's handled.

honestly I can't remember the details but I know whatever it was worked for me because that would have been a problem otherwise.

Anyone here play both the PS2 and 3DS versions of Abyss? Some of the PS2 stuff is still packed away in the garage somewhere due to laziness and it's gonna stay that way for a while, so if I want to get back into Abyss then picking up the 3DS version is my most accessible option currently. So is it worth?

There are no changes other than load times, glitch repairs, and a balancing of unknown difficulty. The 3ds version is superior in every way unless you like abusing the world map glitch

I played the Chronicles version on PS3. It has a worse frame rate and more glitches than the GameCube original because it's based on the buggier Japan-only PS2 version.

I really love the story of this game, but I played the entire game on auto-battle because I really fucking dislike how Tales Of games play.

that's unfortunate because the gameplay was the main draw for me back in the day.
