This is the only part of the post I'm going to take seriously. The reason people get upset over that is indifference benefits the oppressor. I'll use a hamfisted example because it's the easiest way to get a point across. Indifferent Germans benefitted the Nazis. Their indifference did nothing to stop the Nazis from exterminating the jews and did nothing to help the Jews being exterminated.

The Harry Potter thing, I don't know. It depends on how the licensing for the game works. It's likely that Rowling already got her money when she sold the rights to the producers of the game. Now you could argue that boycotting this game and making it do poorly means she'll get less money next time they decide to buy the rights from her.

Will I buy it? Probably not. I'm not going to shit on somone who does though. Life can be hard and miserable and shitty at times and if someone finds joy in a world that happens to be a created by a lady who turned out to be a bigot, let them. It's that persons own actions and beliefs that are important, not the creator of the world of a video game they are playing.

This is the kind of thing I've been saying needs to happen. It's going to be the only way marginalized communities have any protection. The police aren't going to protect them, so community defense is the route they are going to have to take.

The thing we need to remember is that the right are basically just bullies. They are violent and dangerous but they are only ever prepared for that to flow one direction. Even people just showing up armed to defend the people they wanted to bully was enough to trigger a meltdown. Literally "reeeeee only we are supposed to have guns" energy.

That being said, being armed when facing down these people is in and of itself an immediate escalation, so if you aren't prepared to shoot soneone if you have to, don't be armed. If you ratchet tensions that high without a willingness to follow through when your opponent is, you are going to get killed and possibly others with you.

I'm not saying don't, because that flies in the face of everything I've ever said on the subject. Only to be very cognizant of the consequences.

Are you aware of the bombing campaigns in both the Korean and Vietnam wars? We leveled North Korea, hell in Vietnam leveled Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. All of them still exist independent of American influence. Bombing countries into oblivion helps win wars, when you have a clear cut goal in mind that those bombings can advance. The US tends to not have those when we go into our military adventures.

This isn't the argument you think it is either. Korea had some insane support from China and Vietnam had support from USSR and in both cases we weren't fighting to defend America. We were the aggressors and the intended outcome wasn't even more American territory.

Oh no doubt. That's not what I'm arguing. My point is that you don't necessarily need airpower or heavy weapons platforms to wage asymmetrical warfare or insurgent campaigns successfully. What you have to have to though is a willingness to suffer the disproportionate casualties that the lack of things will bring and the willingess to live an extremely hard and unpleasant existence.

I just don't see dorks like Nick Fuentes, Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro, or their followers living in the woods, hiding in ditches, living off what they can scrounge or get smuggled to them. And they are the younger part of the right, the older ones aren't even physically capable of that. In so far as defending your country goes, maybe maybe not. The majority of Afghanistan wasn't with the Taliban and yet here they are back in charge.

Would I fight for the US now if it were invaded? Probably. If the people invading us were worse than our Government.

My 6 day stay in the hospital, ekg, bone marrow biopsy, spinal fluid test, port installation, intrathecal dose of chemo, port install, and five days of chemotherapy was lowered down to 85k by the insurance. It's fucking insanity. Luckily my max out of pocket was 3200 so that's all I paid, but even that is a ton of money for the vast majority of Americans. If I hadn't had insurance I would have just let the cancer kill me to be very honest.

Dude took a stopwatch up on the podium and told the crowd he was giving God one minute to fix a problem (I think it was getting the trains to run on time). When it of course wasn't fixed after a minute he looks at the crowd and said something along the lines of "well, as you can see God has failed. I will succeed". Trump could never pull of something like that.

Remember, if the cops can kill you just for being in possession of a firearm then the 2nd amendment doesn't actually protect the right to bear arms.
