for some background, i didn't grow up in a home where relationships were common, my parents never went on a date before getting married and at age 35 they still tell me i'm too young to date

so growing up, it isn't something i really sought out simply because it wasn't a foundational aspect of my life

as i grew older and started dating (and getting into the pick up scene), i did a ton of observation that really opened my eyes. i see why people get together, but more eye opening why people break up or don't break up when they should

this has soured my views on relationships. combined with the ability to consistently get new girls in my life, this has made me extremely picky and hesitant to be in a relationship.

but to answer your question, yes i open to it, albeit picky and the girl will really have to convince me

of the last 4 girls i dated, i would have considered being exclusive with all of them and all 4 of them were the ones to end things with me

no, it's an understanding of attraction and communication. most of the times people have sex on the first date, it's because they have some/most of these factors in play (good logistics, seeding, etc). just because i'm aware of it doesn't make it sociopathic, otherwise you just default into ignorance being bliss. can't punish me for being smart. as long as i'm not doing it in a manipulative, disrespectful or forceful way, i am allowed to ask for what i want

My goal wasn't necessarily sex; it was just whatever happened happened. I was recently divorced and didn't give a fuck.

if you think about it, value is extremely important when it comes to dating. no girl has ever dated a guy she didn't find valuable. it's just what value is and how it is properly conveyed that is incorrect

i spent last weekend coaching a friend with girls, he is awful at conveying any value and everything he says comes from a place of neediness. i made him watch me with girls and how i conveyed value, it blew his mind lol. especially when i flipped a girl in one sentence who wouldn't give him the time of day

I will admit that the majority of women I know have at one point or another. Not 98-99%. I know you are saying willing in theory, and not done it, but still. More than 2% are insistent on waiting until marriage still for instance. Not that I associate with those women lol

lol it's mostly a joke at this point. i started out by posting "condo" and people here made fun of me for not being able to afford a house. so i started specifying "luxury condo" to differentiate, as this building is where NBA players live. it's super swanky and costs more than 90% of homes in the suburbs here. people got so annoyed i just kept it going as a preemptive measure so people couldn't say i live where divorced dads do again

for the record, every listing on real estate websites for this building does list the units as a "luxury condo". in real life, i just call it "the new loft"

But I could see how this would work in general. Not sure I believe the stats (like that ridiculous 99%) or that you have anything to do with this template, but I could see it working.

I also think that there is some useful information for guys in this regardless of whether this has anything to do with you or not.

even crazier, the 99% stat was at my old apartment which isn't nearly as nice as my luxury condo. at my luxury condo, every single girl wants to see inside (in my area, living in this building is a major status symbol)

only 1 or 2 extremely guarded girls (one who wouldn't even hug me at the start of the date) refused to come in. the other one was from some small town in minnesota or something. that's all i remember that refused. the point is to build comfort quickly. once the girl has been inside and not been murdered, she feels way more comfortable coming back after the date

anytime you say "all" or "none" you're probably wrong, it's probably closer to 98-99%. i'm not saying every girl has sex on every first date (or even the majority of them). but if things go well enough with the right guy that she connects with just enough...yeah 98-99% of women would be willing to have sex on the first date, even if she's never done it before. if you have an honest discussion with enough women, the vast majority will admit to sleeping with a guy on the first date at some point

girls are willing to drive 15+ min to meet me downtown...but once you're already at an activity and want to go back to your place, it's harder to justify an additional 15 min drive...that 15 min makes it much less spontaneous and like "it just happened". i'm sure it happens, it's happened for me when i'm traveling, it's happened to some friends that have lived in the suburbs...but overall it adds way more difficulty than needed to the process

honestly i rarely ever show my watches to girls. it gets a bit gaudy to the point i worry girls will feel like i'm showing off (my collection is about 17k now). not to mention on the off chance a girl feels like swiping one (hasn't been an issue lately but i was a much worse judge of character when i was younger). i usually stash it in a drawer, if a girl has a legit interest in my watches i'll show it to her but i'll generally downplay/gloss over them and focus on the engineering rather than cost/prestige

i just bought a luxury condo downtown

I've been experimenting with various factors, this is the one that seems to work best

I invite a girl for happy hour at a Thai restaurant. Just exotic enough to be enticing and different, not enough to be weird

But since I live downtown, I tell her to park outside my luxury condo since it'll be easier to find parking and meet me and then we can walk over to the thai restaurant together (it's 2 blocks away)

Once they arrive, ill chat with her a minute outside and tell her I want to make iced tea for later and to come inside

99% of the time girls agree to this. It makes them comfortable with me and hanging out my place early. I have them pick the flavor for the iced tea. Then while the water is boiling, I ask them if they want to start with a drink here.

This is more of a 75/25 split with girls. I'm fine either way. I stay home and drink with the girl, talking while the water boils. If we finish the first drink and she wants another ill give her another and work from there...a few dates things have gone so well we never even end up leaving the luxury condo

But generally, after 1 drink, ill put the iced tea in the freezer so it'll be cold by the time we come back (so I'm already setting up coming back home together) and then we walk to the restaurant.

Happy hour is good, because you can splurge a bit without feeling as guilty. Get the drinks and food flowing. Nothing is too heavy so neither of us feels less sexy after. Honestly, I've just started paying for dates but if a girl insists on paying or splitting I just let her. None of it is that expensive due to happy hour and I can afford it. A typical date is only $60 after tip.

The restaurant is where we spend the most time.

Then I feel it out some more. If I feels she's ready I'll just take her back home for the iced tea (I also offer to add alcohol to it, grey goose is my favorite). If she's not quite ready I take her to the bar/wine bar next door. Rinse and repeat, ill take her to another place after that if I think she needs more time and familiarity.

But I usually try not to go more than 2 bars on top of the happy hour...at some point you're just stringing it out too long. I'd rather just take her home for the iced tea and try to work it from there (and of course letting her leave if she isn't feeling it)

So we'll get home, I'll have her pick a song to play us and I'll pour us drinks (alcohol optional) and keep talking

Eventually that leads to cuddling, then kissing, then you get the idea
