I have a question about Buster Calls. If they are that powerful, why not use it against White Beard? Kaido? Big Mom?

It seems like if they were willing to pull that out for the Straw Hats, why not any of the other major threats?

Lots of people are kinda stupid in this arc.

Robin thinking the government won't turn on her (I'm gonna assume she thinks working for the government will save herself or the Straw Hats), she stupid. Iceberg basically being a hypocrit about Frankie making "weapons"? Stupid past Iceberg.

"You are bad for making weapons because all weapons are bad! I guess that means there is no use for good people to have weapons to defend others against bad people!!!!"

But people are dumb in real life so... yeah.

I've been watching Wano and I do like him in that arc. My wife is completely caught up and I started enjoying the Wano Arc so I watch new episodes with her and I catch up on previous arcs throughout the week.

I kinda loved how after Luffy beat him he said, "I won't let anything hold us back", showing that he obviously cared but he won't let his sentimental side stop him.

Like... this doesn't make sense for any of Usopp's characterization. Kinda surprised at Oda for writing what comes across to me as baseless drama for the sake of it at the expense of good characterization

I will give Usopp credit for doing everything possible to win the fight.

i remember you sharing some stuff on lue a long time ago (i think?) so it's crazy to hear about. very sorry for your situation but i feel more saddened that she's had to deal with all of what she had to. it sounds terrifying and tiring and painful...so...in a way, it's at least good that she won't be suffering.

Yeah. I'm not in a position to ask her to go through any more pain. She has done literally everything she could, seen professionals all over. There's just nothing left. She has a meeting with a hematologist here and if they have some sort of crazy treatment to try then MAYBE we try it? It is nearly impossible for even like 50% of her shit to be dealt with.

There is a part of me that doesn't want to mourn right now. To just kinda live life as if this isn't happening and fill what remains of our life together as if nothing is different. My wife doesn't want us to spend a bunch of money on some sort of last hurrah or anything of that nature. Live life like nothing is changing until it changes forever I guess?

She is estranged from her family. She has requested they are not told of her passing and not be involved in any sort of service if I do one.

More or less, yes.

To make a long story very short, my wife has a multitude of complex medical problems which has no real treatment. Chief among these is Ehlors Danlos which causes her body to rip and tear very easily (her body does not produce and use collagen correctly) and something called MCAS, which makes her VERY allergic to a whole range of different items. From allergies to many food items to medicines to daily products like soaps and fragrances.

On top of this now it seems that she has some sort of immunosuppression disease which leads her to being consistently battling infections and other illnesses. Ehlors Danlos typically ends up killing someone by one of their major organs ripping. She's already had a lot of heart problems which has led to her having a pacemaker in her mid 20's, for example. She has no real pain management available and as such she is consistently in pain and discomfort without a plan to alleviate such things.

Rather than wait for further deterioration, my wife is applying for Medical Assistance in Death. Multiple doctors have to look into her medical history and agree that there is no opportunity for things to improve in a significant way, and then you wait at least 90 days after that. You can change your mind at any point and you can choose to it at any time after those 90 days if you are accepted.

I am this odd mixture of devastated but also happy my wife will not need to live in constant pain? I'm not sure how you even START doing all this as the one who will be left. I have a wonderful family and support structure around me. I WILL be fine... but I'm not always fine right now even though it isn't an assured thing yet.

Why make the topic? I dunno, help me work out my own shit about it? Maybe talk with some people who have gone through similar shit? I dunno.

Also, I just wanna put out there that while I enjoyed the original Goldberg run in WCW, his failure as a character beyond that showed that the MAIN thing about him was the streak. The second he had to do more than 3-8 minute matches his mystique was completely gone.

I've been going through all the Royal Rumbles. I had never seen one before, but they are a blast!

I think my favorite moment, so far, is where Eddie, Benoit, and Holly are taking turns with Daniel Puder. They chopped the shit out of that boy!

I am conflicted about that moment. That was a receipt given to Puder for doing something wrong with Kurt Angle but it was pretty old school type mentality.

She looked good in Charlie's Angels as well.

HHH did what most at the top did, which is do what you can to stay near the top of the card. Beyond some very rare exceptions (like Eddie Guerrero), anyone who gets to the top wants to stay there. Not gonna hold that against him

Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero were not overrated due to their early deaths. Both were A+ level workers, very over, and made their characters work for them.

Amen!!! I think that Owen was always handicapped by the fact he was the younger brother of Bret (who I think is the best wrestler ever with Kurt Angle), but he was amazing and made whatever they gave him work.

Triple H was my favorite wrestler until our Tribal Chief Roman Reigns graced us with his presence.

I'm a big proponent of HHH being a B+ player. Some of my favorite wrestlers were not top tier so it's not to be a dick, just my opinion of HHH.

I think the "New Generation" era of WWF was not THAT bad. 1995 was pretty poor overall, but Bret Hart, Undertaker, Owen Hart, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Diesel, British Bulldog, Jeff Jarrett, Bam Bam Bigelow, Psycho Sid, Vader?!

Booking was bonkers especially in 1995.

Also, just putting it out there... as a Canadian, Bret Hart's program where he was like, Anti-American? That was fucking magnificent and I can speak to it from personal experience that Canadians fucking LOVED him despite his heel shenanigans at that time. XD
