It's not as often used anymore, but movies and TV shows used to do that fairly frequently. I usually saw it more with child actors than adults though.

Her being in her underwear and dancing is why most still found her attractive in that role, she still had her looks but in The Mask she was not a trashy kind of attractive, she had more class in The Mask film.
