Her anxiety is something she's brought up before, it was her reason for changing our plans (for the better!) the last time we met. And when we texted on Friday she had said she might be exhausted by the time Sunday night rolls around, so this didn't come entirely out of the blue. God knows I'm bad at picking up on hints, but the way things left off when we saw each other last gave me zero indication that something might be amiss, and nothing about our conversations since has set off any alarm bells until this. Up to now, she's been the one escalating things: she asked if I'd like to see her again at the end of date #1, she asked for a kiss at the end of date #2, she picked out her place for date #3. The main reason I'm so nervous is my own anxiety, and my history of not having gotten this far before, leading me to assume the worst at times. Dragon posted... As someone who gets socially drained often, Id never tell someone that unless I felt comfortable with them. I normally just suffer through it. I've been on three dates with this woman, and the most recent one, this past Monday, went extremely well. As we were cuddling in her bed, we talked about when we'd see each other again, and set plans for Sunday night (tomorrow now), owing to the fact that she had friends visiting this weekend. Naturally, I've spent the past week intensely looking forward to this, and we've been texting every day. But tonight, she tells me that she's gonna have to cancel, because she's "super social drained and need a break." I tell her that's fine, just let me know when she's feeling more up for it. She texts back "I think I social overwhelmed from dating and such," which raised my eyebrow a bit, but added a few minutes later "sorry that came out wrong, just overall socializing on all scales."
