| pyresword 08/03/22 5:11:36 PM #81 | I tend to say that I am a yuri fan but don't end up liking a lot of yuri anime. Citrus and Adachi were both not great. The only ones I can think of that I've really enjoyed a lot were Bloom Into You and Strawberry Panic. (Roba I think you would hate Strawberry Panic so don't take that as a recommendation.) I guess there's also Maria Watches Over Us which I loved, but I view it as more drama than romance so I don't lump it in the same boat. Scorching Ping Pong Girls was great so I hope it's not that. Though I'm not sure how much you'd like the original either since that can be a bit heavy handed also. That said, reading what some people have said about both I could easily see them as just having destroyed the series also. This reddit comment in particular is very worrisome The fact is that they're different. The 2003 show followed solely Kino, and was more about philosophical and ethical questions. --- I didn't do guru this year but azuarc can be in my sig anyways. |

I can't tell if the writers want me to treat this like an intellectual masterpiece or like silly over-the-top entertainment, but it's a pretty fun show when treated as the latter.
