Nobody get mad at Roba for me switching here, I thought about it and, well, she is my main and I owe her as well as Roba, I don't want to risk an early exit with how far she's come. And especially if Roba's leaving she'll be down more saves. This way my H3 is freed up for either of them, I'm not abandoning Tidus entirely. Sorry Gen/guff/char tho, I feel like I owe you folks too but Roba saved Ghido without me asking one time when I was asleep...

Hm I was gonna bring this up after I finished DS1 (fingers crossed!), but... is DS2 good? I thought it was widely regarded as the black sheep of the series like DMC2, but I've since looked and seen that it actually reviewed the best of any of the Souls games and it clearly has fans here! Was I mistaken in my assumption that people rag on 2, does it split people or has the tide turned or what?

And his arguments had good reasoning, I have been taking him for granted all year and not pulling my weight for Rinoa lately, so my post-round decision to split my support would of course hit. I've been so lucky this year with how the contest has gone, I hadn't really been thinking about others not having it as good. But I definitely owe Roba, I've been taking Rinoa's strength for granted recently given that she's been safe pretty early even with Socko and me both splitting our saves with other characters, and now with FFD coming in I thought I could afford to test the waters with a Rinoa/Tidus split for a bit, but that wasn't fair to him given all that he's sacrificed for her while I was riding a 3-way train. I'll sleep on it but Roba didn't say or do anything out of line, he saw that continuing this discussion would not take him to a good place so he left.

I'm sorry for not responding to your point Roba, honestly I didn't know what to say. I was going back and forth in my head about what to do next. I feel like I usually give in to others because I don't like conflict and I was consciously trying to push against that by saving both of my favs regardless of what people suggested, but I felt bad about letting you and Team Rinoa down, and then I remembered how you saved Ghido ages ago when I was asleep just to be kind and I felt worse. You're right, you've helped me out for no reason multiple times this year and I owed you better than that lack of response.

I had no idea you were actually angry with me, and I'm sorry for making you so. I wasn't trying to be dismissive of your arguments, as said I really didn't know what to say. I thought I'd try one Rinoa trade and one Tidus trade next round, then see how that worked out and take it from there. I didn't expect that decision to create conflict.

For what it's worth, I don't think anyone was talking smack about you. Gen was just talking about Pokewars and Inviso with that quote, and I certainly don't bear any ill will against you for anything you've said (or against either of those two). Anything I say now will seem like I'm just trying to get you back on board, so I'm not gonna try to convince you of anything. If quitting the contest feels like the right thing for you then that's that, but I'm sorry to see you go and I'm especially sorry that I'm the reason for it. You've been a great person to chat to throughout the contest and I thought we had a good relationship, I didn't realise I was putting that in jeopardy with what I've said in this topic.

Easiest boss has to be Pinwheel or, technically, the lady in the painted world that you can choose not to fight. If there's another proper boss fight easier than that I will be surprised!

I did end up killing the Golem by having him fall off the cliff! But I had a rough time of that fight, yeah. I haven't used summons at all so I figured it'd be a level playing field, but I guess some NPCs are stronger than others.

I absolutely understand this when it's someone whose work has impacted your life and you feel a connection to them because of it... but the royals don't fuckin do anything, what is there to get attached to? Tax dodging? Inbreeding? Wealth hoarding? Representing the idea that some people deserve more than others because of their bloodline? Funding the legal defence of paedo relatives? Hell, even the Kardashians have that TV show so people can feel like they know them. I know people have been indoctrinated into this subservient attitude from birth but like... come on >_>

I wish it were a joke, but it's probably serious. The media exacerbates the problem, but there's a disturbingly high number of people here who legitimately like the monarchy. I didn't realise just how many until the jubilee this year. That was bad enough, this time the sycophancy is going to be painful.
