Well everything sparked off when the armed parent was attacked and treated like a threat to the cops. Several unarmed parents were beaten and arrested. Even 1 cop got hurt. The cops were so out of control they attacked on of their own during the brawl. Maybe he wasn't in uniform, I am not sure

They could have handled it more peacefully. The cops knew he was there to stop the shooter but they decided to pretend he was going to kill them so they would have a reason to get violent. Cops don't believe in thec2nd amendment. But yes. He should not have been let to roam into the school

But they could have handled it calmly, and could have talked to him instead of going on the attack.

I get that people are shaky after Uvalde, but the way those cops acted is not the way the vast majority of departments respond to these incidents. Parents showing up thinking they're gonna go in there and handle it themselves just potentially puts more people at risk

It still does give the cops the right to beat up the parents. The cop who tackled the person just standing around with a broken hand is especially disturbing

I normally agree about the guns but I also understood why parents went crazy. Maybe cops should put effort into saving lives in the next real shooting. The policy needs to change. Cops have to be legally forced to save lives. When we know they are under no obligation to prevent our deaths, then they have no right to demand our respect

As always, cops don't agree and they attacked the armed parent. This sparked a brawl between a pack of cops and a pack of parents
