but now, in the interbutts age? they have a massive platform. a platform that can connect them with other like-minded people. a platform where they can present false information and other people will argue on their behalf to dissuade others from fact-checking or asking for evidence.

so they get a small following at first, a few hundred people or so... and then the human thing happens. "well, a bunch of people agree with this. it must have some merit!" says Joe Normalguy. Then Susy Everygirl sees that her crush Joe Normalguy is a supporter, and becomes one herself, wanting to stay in Joe's good graces. Joe tells his friends about the videos, and they start watching. and it just snowballs from there. more and more people see it, and through confirmation bias or the good ol' bandwagon, it continues to gain steam until it no longer seems like a conspiracy and there are enough people 'confirming' it that it becomes easier and easier for more and more people to believe

people like donald duck already have a massive following so there is half a nation worth of people ready to defend whatever he says and present any argument or misinformation necessary to be on the side of right

fellas, don't get me wrong here. dark knight is a very fun movie and i didn't dislike it or anything, obviously it's a better watch than rises or the joke films batman v superman or justice league, but tonally it just didn't do it for me. it was a straight-up action movie and despite what joker was going for in the film batman was never really made to step into a morally gray area or do anything out of line. the plot always saved him from compromising, like when dent took the fall as batman or how fox got to be the one to run the big brother computer which blew itself up at the end. in every scenario, batman was objectively on the side of right and was not made to compromise his values. they just teased that possibility and then the writing saved him from it each time so we could have more chase scenes, explosions and cool G.I. Joe tech.

torna is an expansion for XC2 where they gave fans the one thing they wanted most: no rex
so obviously it's an amazing expansion

it's my favorite batman movie since begins. which i realize there's only two batman movies between begins and the batman, but it's still been a pretty long time.

when i moved in with my best mate i learned he was that same way. never tried to move forward in life but always super excited to talk about his accomplishments or gear in games as if it's something that actually mattered, he could go on for hours if you let him about "DUDE we cleared this dungeon last night" or "hey man i finally got my in-game pet up to level whatever and look at this perk it got dude, it's so badass bro" "look how big and epic my big epic base is, i spent all day on it dude it's so big and it's so epic"

no money in the bank, no girls that stick around, sees his real friends maybe once or twice a month if that...

at first i was judgmental. found it so bizarre i could go out for a whole day and come back and he'd be playing the same game he'd started when i left. he could go at it for an entire day. sun up to sun down, on the same game, online with his 'clan' or whatever, doing the same shit over and over and over and over to grind out that next unlock or upgrade or milestone.

but then i realized it's really none of my fucking business. if that's what he wants his life to be and he's good with it, then all i can say is i'm glad the bloke's happy.
