That would be fun. I think for this kind of challenge it'd be best to have each person generate their own monster so we'll end up with a diverse collection of cryptids. I like the generator you found, too. The others I see seem to keep spitting out some of the same traits. One keeps giving all the monsters three arms. >_>

I remember loving it in WW HD but thinking something was off or annoying about it in BotW and I don't know what the difference was. I don't remember if you could adjust the sensitivity in either game. Anyway as a concept I'm on board, but of course it can be done well or it can be done poorly.

Yup. And usually the videos you see of it are when owners place the cucumbers behind the cat when they aren't looking. Then when the cat turns around, suddenly there's an unexpected object in the bagging area and its survival instinct says get away until it's identified.

Like, I get how to use dualies. I used squelchers and tetras and others plenty in 2. I know how to dodge roll and how it focuses your shots until you move again. It's just that when other people use the same ones in the same situations, their shots often seem longer and deadlier with or without rolling. Idk if it's lag or just salty bias, but I'm enjoying TW way less now than I did in 2.

I've mostly been using Dualie Squelchers in 3. It was my secondary after Sploosh in 2, but with all the open chokepoints in 3, Sploosh is useless to me. I went from B- to B last night, but I've barely played Anarchy and started at B- with the data import. In the TC and SZ matches I've played, I actually have managed to splat people around as much as I've been splatted, depending on the teams.

But yeah with squelchies I'll shoot at an aerospray or splattershot or whatever from a distance, and usually hit once at most as they walk up and murder me no problem. Once I was engaging another squelchers user who was firing uphill at me and hit me multiple times while none of my shots connected.

Last night I tried out some rollers and lost all like ten turf wars in the process. Of course there's an adjustment period with new weapons, but that seemed excessive. I did manage some satisfying splats, but some flicks definitely underperformed. Although testing on the balloons in the lobby, I guess the flicks can also be inconsistent if you're more than a foot or two away, so that's fair. Kinda disappointed at how risky it is to ink the ground with rolling though.

Is anyone else just absolute dogshit at Splat pvp? I feel like I'm constantly out-ranged and out-damaged by other players even if they're using worse weapons or the same weapon. Like it literally feels like they're cheating with half of the shootouts I get into. It's not like I was great in Splat 2, but at least I could ink and in relative peace and occasionally stealth splat since there were stages that didn't just let chargers murder you at any time in 80% of the stage.

At least Salmon Run is 24/7 now. I'm pretty good there as long as there isn't more than one useless weapon.

Also, I did forget to mention Korok Woods stuff as another standout.

But part of the problem with mid/late-game BotW is the lack of meaningful rewards from side quests. Stuff like getting your house, Ancient Arrows, Tarrow Town, or the stuff from Korok Woods is great and all, but mostly everything else just gives rupees, useless food, or more breakable weapons. The few that give armor sets are good, but a lot of the armor is also spread around random shrines with seemingly no real rhyme or reason.

Yeah sidequests are useless lol. "Can you bring me five bugs? Thanks, here's three mushrooms that you could have gathered more easily than the bugs." Uhh thanks.

The shrines were at least rewarding in the sense that they were fun to find and see and solve their gimmick. It was always disappointing when it was a Blessing or a Test of Strength though.

Also fuck everyone who hates on best boy Yunobo.

It's when you start going for the second Divine Beast and onwards that everything starts feeling samey. Gerudo Town is probably the only real major standout.

I thought most of the quests leading to the beasts were pretty neat and unique. Except for Medoh. That was just "Here shoot five targets. Okay cool let's go." But even then, at least fighting it in the sky was neat. Naboris probably did have the most involved quest though.

Wow, thank you. Composition is always a struggle for me, but it's fun when you can depict a whole premise or joke in a drawing. Also I think your Marge pic does a great job of setting the scene and you banged it out way faster than anything I've ever drawn. XD

Well you can also beat them with the cannons during cohock charges, egg launchers during king salmon fights, and about five different specials, but you only have limited access to all of these methods, so in general yeah, flyfish are bastards. And whenever you're in position, ready to throw both bombs in one go, they'll just hang out with their baskets closed for five minutes as other salmon close in to block your shots and/or murder you. >:[

Also I swear their baskets are more slippery and more bouncy than in S2. Sooo many bombs just go flying out after perfectly good shots.

Cohozuna is definitely rough no matter what. You definitely wanna take out the lesser bosses during the battle though. The eggs are decent damage and the other bosses will absolutely get in your way if left alone. You need to get lucky though and have a really good team.

I've definitely had Froggy on the hook, reeling him in, and then suddenly I'm just standing there at the edge of the water outside of fishing mode with zero fanfare. Also from what I recall, when you've cast, you can move the lure by moving the control stick in the opposite direction for some reason? And to get something on the hook you hafta press like A and down when they're nibbling or some weird combo like that. Also I think the camera wasn't very cooperative after casting, but I'm not super sure. Also also this was the GameCube port, so maybe the original didn't have all of these issues.

Froggy levels are hot garbage. The fishing controls are poorly explained and don't make sense anyway. The line will break or just lose the fish/frog without warning or reason. Sometimes the fish just won't get any closer for minutes at a time no matter what you do.

It's fine to prefer SA1 over SA2, but it isn't fine to pretend anything in 2 is as bad as fishing in 1.

Trying for A ranks on all missions can be annoying as fuck, but outside of that, it's a great game. Ring collecting missions suck outside of hedgehog stages, and weird physics can fuck you over in space levels (fuck you Crazy Gadget hard mode), but if you're just trying to finish everything with any rank, it's an A rank game.

Well this Salmon Run rotation has been disastrous. I fell from Eggsecutive VP 100 to Profreshional +3 and have won exactly one of eleven shifts since the demotion lol. Then I got another pay cut for a connection error at the start of a shift so I'm calling it until next rotation.

I still think Dynamo is fun to use in SR, but it's really impractical, and paired with the bow, it's a rough loadout.

Yeah I was disappointed to see it wasn't gonna be eight new classes (plus however many subclasses). I hope they all play really differently now. Like, cleric and apothecary will presumably have the biggest healing skills, but other than basic stuff like that, the mechanics of each skillset better be different.

Depends on the culture you're talking about. And anyway, it's extra easy to think the topic title was about ATLA because of the fact there were four sets, like there are four nations and four elements in ATLA.
