No. Very few of our politicians have even a slither of fame, unless they pop in controversies like this. Prominent ones in government or the opposition can, but I still wouldn't call them "famous" in the traditional sense celebrities are.

I think there's a difference between a Russian national team being banned, as happened in World Cup qualifying, and Russian individuals being banned. The NHL didn't kick Ovechkin out, for example.

I do think that is different. They aren't competing for Russia when part of the NHL, Premier league etc.

But if a Russian won a Tennis competition, it'd be a massive boost for them and this is hardly the time to give them a positive boost. The individual nature of it means what they do represents their country. Sports teams largely do away with that and the team win represents the team wins and not that of the country.

Yes, it might suck for the individuals who might not support the war. But these aren't normal times, and Russia cannot be allowed to gain a cultural and positive boost.

This is pretty standard for any bully interaction, regardless of skin colour, in my experience. It was true a decade plus ago, and it's true now.

The funny part is that it started out on such good footing with that surprise launch. People were even willing to forgive the weird / bad progression early on for that very reason. It's not like they didn't have the advantage of positive vibes.

Yup. And they let it go to waste.

Was no reason they couldn't have done something great with it. They just chose not to do so.

The issue was the limited multiplayer. What there was, was fun. But there wasn't much of it and so made it very repetitive. And instead of capitalising on a great Halo game people liked playing they were slow to fix and add new things.

The single player was great though, and it's easily a top Halo game. But one they are letting suffer and wither for no reason. They should be pouncing and expanding it. It should be at the top, as it has everything to succeed there.

Yeah, the grinding is insane. I've still yet to build up my current roster to 13-4 and already going up another rank. Just not sure how I'm meant to keep up, even with 2/3x drops and limiting who I build. Couple with poor drop rates it is the most annoying part of the game.

At the least the grinding takes like 1 minute though, but just takes forever to get results.

The biggest thing making me inclined to drop it as well tbh.

This is a bit different though. People hurling abuse at random Russians, even those who have nothing to do with Russia isn't the same as hurling abuse at those who stand by people committing war crimes, rape and attempted genocide.

It's still a shitty thing to do and they should rise above being shitty, no matter how much anger or how justified they feel. The Russian soldiers being utter monsters doesn't mean they need to be shitty as well.

Of course, who knows if she actually does or even supports the war. She very well could oppose it and want him out. But as far they are concerned, she's complicit and supporting Russia's crimes.
