The right play is to just shoot ctes. Trying to be a hero is how town loses games, and surprise surprise, I tried this yesterday and choked yet again. Two games in a row I killed the doctor on day one because I am legitimately cursed.

No, the right play is to shoot Lopen.

Lopen being Scum clears Red in my mind, so I would probably stick with Ctes, just not as the Sultan shot.

But, of course, after flips happen we can reevaluate, so I would not commit to two for-sure lynched off-hand.

Lopen asking to not be shot makes sense, but it also reeks of trying to make sure Sultan shoots one of the more likely targets, which is probably why Sultan was given the gun in the first place.

Because regardless of alignment, I think you're saying some things that make little sense to me. I sure have been trying to convince you I'm not scum, I've responded to everything to called me out for which is surprisingly little considering your confidence.

So you get to say both things and then brag about whichever is right. Yeah sure, brag all you want, but you set up a situation in which you could say I told you so regardless of the flip and there are no points for that.

Like, this? Why are you so antagonistic? It only reads of frustration.

Like, yesterday, the entire read from you was frustration - that you felt it was unfair you were being considered. Like you managed to slip through the day and were mad that that changed.

And you know Ctes, I am willing to admit I can be wrong about you. Historically, my gut doesn't do the best against newer players. I'm just reluctant to back off because my read of BCT was initially right and we got burned because I backed off. This is why I prefer not to back off and just hunt like an angry wolf.

I feel like thinking I couldn't think of something in an hour and a half (or earlier-- in Chris's last game we scum knew results before the day started so they probably do here too) is silly.

It's not. It's a high-pressure situation. People take time to think things through to get to the best thought possible a lot of the time. If you don't, you might make mistakes.

But, then again, you could just be right and already have the claim prepared and it still won't mean anything.

It's a weird situation because there's like 1% chance you get out of today alive. And in 99% of that chance, it's Scummier to wait to claim your role than to just give it now.

I think the pro-Town move is claiming, and the only reason not to do so is because not everybody else has checked in yet.

I'm trying to think through any possibility of this being a frame job with some journal-rewriting role, and I don't think it makes any sense. It was a paranoid thought but I think it's impossible, since Scum wouldn't know he's a Taunter. Probably.

Lopen, I think you are dead no matter what today, so it might be better for you to claim sooner, since waiting just gives the impression that you/team wanted more time to think of a claim that makes sense.

That seems unlikely. If you think that Ctes was Town, then most of the movement was about switching away from the pair. Ctes and Plum voted for each other.

The only pair that could fit your theory are you and Ulti.

And i just think this post reads as very genuine in general and it is too 5head of a scum play to come in arguing the guy who just flipped town looked bad after last night. Its a town-exclusive thought to have because they have a harder time accepting the truth

I see what you're saying, but I'm not sure the logic fully checks out. Ctes is saying Chang looked bad as part of discrediting me.

Like, my biggest issue here is that if Ctes is Town, I fully expect him to respond to my suspicion more from the angle of frustration that I'm doing it rather than this weird posturing thing he's doing.

I do think I would caution Sultan against shooting Ctes, though.

Also you're straight up lying. Plum was fourth on your lynch priority list, even above Hb you had attacked. You did say one of him and Isquen was town, but that doesn't excuse it. Being fourth priority is not fighting against a lynch. You don't get to act like you were so sure that he was town.

I WAS so sure that he was Town. That's a fact.

I changed my mind. I second guessed myself. I regret that. But you know what - that's okay. Just convinces me that I need to go with my first thoughts more often.

There wasn't a special. The lynch was tied between Ctes and Plum. Plum getting lynched isn't a special.
Also, it's "unprompted" despair. When I said it just now, it was to make a point and express regret. When you said it, it was more performative.

Oh and I didn't get to respond to this one. I was complaining about this for all of the end of yesterday too, you don't get to call this a scumpost and ignore the rest when you have absolutely no good excuses for letting that happen and voting/unvoting in the dying minutes once more. I know you hated how that was yesterday and I'm struggling to think a town Han wouldn't want to avoid this at all costs, not just avoiding it happened to himself.

Let me explain to you, Ctes.

Town players never feel the need to comment how they feel about something that went poorly. Anything that happened end of day, or during night, if someone is saying something like "I'm so mad about that" then 19 out of 20 times, they are Scum.

No Town ever ever ever ever ever ever has to express that they are upset that Town got lynched.

It means they're someone who thinks they can influence Sultan, thinks somebody else can influence Sultan and is wrong, or they didn't intentionally give the gun to Sultan.

Corrik claiming some sort of power read on people immediately after that message got posted is suspect.

Ctes is the most obvious shot I think? Him or Isquen? Do Scum assume I'll push Sultan to shoot Ctes?

Explain this if you can, because I still dont feel there's anything stopping Ctes from being town. And out of all the people yesterday he was the one i would never have voted for.

BCT was the lowest-hanging fruit, and even still have Plum replaced in, stayed that way. Plum didn't earn any goodwill, and even got suspected by some more than BCT. The most fight against a BCT lynch throughout the day was from us 3.

And to explain, you pulled off of Plum, who was tied with Ctes, to join on Isquen. It's a risky move to take if you're Scummates with Ctes, since it broke the tie and put Ctes into the lead. It doesn't confirm since you proved you could switch back, but IF Ctes is Scum, then it's unlikely for you as a Scummate to have done that.

In fact, Corrik's actions right now look like Scum making a play to get Sultan to shoot Ulti to get two more Town dead.

After Plum's flip, me Chang and Sultan looked the best.

Ulti looks the worst from the flip, but honestly that's what I would expect Town Ulti.

My thought from what occurred yesterday was actually that Lopen was probably right about Red. But in the event that he was wrong, then he's most likely Scum, because Lopen's argument on Red is too airtight and would be the kind of argument that Scum would be able to put onto Town, knowing that, well, the argument is damn good.

Ctes and Isquen I can still see BOTH as Scum. Ctes is pretty assuredly Scum. But IF Ctes is Scum, then I think Ben is cleared? If anything, I'm feeling better about Ben being Town than anybody (aside from Chang and Sultan) as a result of that lynch.

Otherwise, everybody sort of made themselves look bad in retrospect. Corrik focusing on Chang and SBell puts a big spotlight on him. Death soft-protecting BCT earlier in the day just to lynch him could be damning. And Hb hung around the shadows after I stopped focusing on him, just to lynch Plum.

However, we have to accept that Scum thought Chang was going to be Towncleared for saying BCT wasn't Scum in order to shoot him. I don't know if I can buy that.
