On the plus side I accumulated 1500 free shares this week and 30 free amc puts for next week (10.5)

Third Ceo the former secretary of state of Nevada as a temporary third Ceo to mediate disagreements in the best interest of the company. Amazing.

New hearing the 31st for the judge to try and untangle which decisions by Colucci were straight sabotage or not.

This is some penny stock shit. I feel like I'm playing blur custodianship plays but it's like a legitimate company here. It's frustrating. But I think it'll work out.

Restraining order was dissolved. I know this 100%.

What I am pretty sure is also true but need to find the full document to verify (wasn't live streamed later days because of idiots turning it into a twitch chat)

- Lisa Ted Erik Noble and some other dude rehired as they were removed during invalid board meetings.
- 14 day ban on firing anyone
- 14 day ban on any board meetings without everyone present
- Another hearing in 14 days to discuss judge orders to remove Colucci and others if necessary and/or undo their actions/make them pay Vinco

I believe with the four rehires they can just punt Colucci with the in company methods but yeah. It's definitely going a good way but I think the sell-off is because MM know they can stall a bit more. Still a very great week and I was able to recoup a lot of losses because I had a lot of 1c for today that I sold around 1.60 at 500% profits. (Should have sold all but oh well)

TLRY calls looking STRONG up 100% already. I went pretty aggressive with them though. The 6c for next week. I don't think it's too ridiculous though. A 30% move from here puts them at the money. Would be really tame for these meme squeezes-- this thing has run nearly 100% on these squeezes in the past.

Oh also the sector that hasn't pumped yet that will before 8/19 is weed

I've got some TLRY calls because I like the company the most. We'll see if they play out.

If everyone around you is running a 10.1+ then you'd want to save your energy and run a 10.0.

I do think this mindset applies to the longer dashes-- like the 400m or longer for sure.

In the 100m though I have my doubts this amount of strategy can be applied or is relevant though which is why I didn't dispute this one.

Yeah I beat him, eventually. Both versions, Tyson and Dream. Beat them with a full game run too.

Lot of practice. Definitely not the hardest NES game. Probably top 10 though. Honestly once you get the timing of his uppercuts down he's not that bad. But everyone from Soda Popinski on I have at least some trouble with.

Battletoads, Ninja Gaiden 1/2, Double Dragon 2/3, Ghosts n Goblins, are all up there as well, to name a few off the top of my head, to say nothing of the tough NES games I haven't played. Bunch of LJN trash I'm sure is up there in difficulty as well.

I'm leaning Battletoads as the toughest of the lot (only one I haven't beaten, though that may be because I found the game less interesting than the others) and of the games I've played on the NES I'd probably put Punch Out as less difficult than Double Dragon 3 and Ninja Gaiden 2 as well, but yeah.

Let's talk about something that isn't BBIG for once

AMC.

So AMC has an APE dividend. 8/19 is ex-dividend, 8/22 is distribution date. What it's going to do is reduce the value of AMC shares, and give shareholders a share of APE at a 1:1 rate.

I think the blueprint for how this is going to play out has already been tested by BBIG's Tyde dividend, where the value of Tyde was shredded before every broker was even able to distribute it and it was hard to buy/sell otherwise for some time. APE as a preferred share isn't even buyable with a lot of brokers. Who cares if you've got naked shorts, just "have trouble distributing the shares" and recycle the same ones to everyone as people panic sell when the price implodes.

You can see that they may very well be preparing for this at this moment. Why is the market running right now? Well here's how I theorize the plan of attack.

1. Run AMC up as you cover some of the shares at a cheaper level, hope some people chase as the stock moves. This happened last week when AMC ran from 15 to 25
2. Hold AMC in place as you run other stocks you're shorting to free up margin-- you can't let AMC run too hard otherwise you get margin calls, so it's being strategically frozen in the mid 20s. AMC holders are "dumb money" and still HODLING for their APE shares so you don't have to risk too much retail getting in the way of you covering. This is currently happening.
3. On the distribution date, use all the margin you've recovered from freeing up pressure on other stocks and covering some of AMC to short the hell out of APE and AMC on two fronts. APE is going to be hard to buy and a bunch of people won't even get it, so it's basically a free short. Continue to cover on other stocks to apply more pressure as needed. If AMC holders chase on the other stocks, great, you can cover your shorts on AMC easier in a week or two. If they don't, you cover your shorts on other stocks easier right now.

My plan.

But 8/26 or 9/3 PUTS that are far out of the money on 8/19. I'm talking like around 50% of the stock price. Premiums will be super low.

Flip the puts when the price implodes early next week. I'm thinking AMC will be at like $6 and APE will be at like $3 before 8/26, assuming the price stays around 25 through end of week.

Observe if other shorted stocks and the market as a whole is going up or not. If they are, buy AMC as it is likely AMC holders are continuing to hold and it's going to supernova in a few months. If they're not, buy... I dunno, DNN or FUBO or something. *shrug

We'll see. The other possibility is that the APE dividend will do what it's supposed to and expose naked shorting and make the stock go nuts, but as I literally just saw this fail in BBIG I'm not going to bet on that. I do think EVENTUALLY it'll achieve that goal in both stocks, but not for a few months. Just too many dumb tools they have to suppress prices.

For the record I wasn't saying that either just that if we had this exhaustive list of sports that included Golf Chess and Bowling and we were ordered to remove the least sportlike from the list I would remove Bowling first, then Golf, then Chess.

To me they're all sports though and I completely get why people have a beef with Golf or Chess I just don't really agree with the beef.

Can you ice skate and get a judge's panel to rate you and have it mean something that matters alone? Not really. Some I see your point but I think you're oversimplifying what I'm saying to try and be smart.

So the hearing today was brief.

All that occurred

Judge ordered no terminations, no board meetings, and enough cash to cover payroll (the restraining order was impeding non Team Colucci people from participating in these)
Judge agreed to devote Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and all of Friday as needed to resolving the case asap.
The court also ordered transcripts of the board meetings that the defense could not get.

So probably as well as it could have realistically been expected to go imo. But the coming days will be more important. My main fears were that it would move like a sloth or the judge would not prevent Colucci from continuing to run amok while the hearing was going which seem to be at ease now-- the facts are strongly against Colucci right now so as long as it gets resolved quickly things are looking good.

Still waiting on actual news for BBIG. This is just hype. The halt was seemingly due to the interim CEO causing the stock to be non NASDAQ compliant. Now he's suing Ted but the counter argument from Ted's council is much much better. Looks like this guy has been involved in some real shady stuff and he went power crazy as he was being found out. (He's been being investigated for months. Weird story. I'll give the summarized version later if anyone cares)

Looking real strong that this Colucci guy is gonna get destroyed here though which could make the stock moon. Very possible short sellers knew of his cancerous influence in the company and were confident due to that.

I'll give an update when its known. I loaded 800 shares at the bottom off the halt. Feels like the perfect storm here for it to go nuts off of any good news though (hearing is just about to start). Meme season hitting is good timing for all of this. My portfolio is already up 8k.

if you have B without A, you have something like chess or competitive starcraft. I'd call these something- competitive games maybe- but not sports

the lines do get blurry, though. maybe chess and starcraft are a sub-category of sports that subtracts the athleticism portion

I mean to me athleticism is a weird line to tread.

Chess at a high level can be exhausting. Keeping focused that long is something that needs training.

Like okay yes Chess requires less athleticism than say soccer, but I'd argue so does baseball. Obviously baseball still requires enough, but where is the line drawn. I feel like auto racing requires much less still, but most people would still call that a sport.

I actually like golf (and bowling and darts) I'm just saying Golf is basically a bunch of people playing a single player game for the highest score which to me isn't competition in a way I associate with sport.

It's basically the same reason people don't call Chess a sport just a focus on a different element of the definition (competition vs physical)

I think it is and it's more of one than a few other sports like Golf, Darts, or Bowling.

Structurally they're somewhat similar but I'm not sure I'd call anything lacking a tortilla a burrito.

I assume we're just voting for our favorite component game but if we're specifically talking about this collection's version the FFV on this pack is MUCH more acceptable lagwise than the FFVI and in the context of this specific collection is the better game even if I prefer FFVI in general. (Also it has the proper spelling of X-Death)

I saw Van Helsing in theaters THREE times. That's the only time I saw something in theaters more than once.

And I don't even like the movie. I just had three separate groups of friends want to see it and I'm like "sure whatever" at least the third time I saw it I was pretty drunk.

I might actually be OK with the movie had I not seen it 3x in theaters. Teenage decisions man.

Was tempted to vote no but have only seen 1.1 seasons and we've got 50 people in here saying he gets better so I'll just abstain.

Watched Love and Thunder finally

They did finally make Jane likeable in this movie. Wish Gorr got to do more but that's 90% of Marvel villains. Zeus was hilarious.

Felt like I read a lot of bad word of mouth on this one. I am not sure I agree with it. Like it was completely fine. I guess maybe I wasn't going in with particularly high expectations and that helped?

I work in IT. I left my last job because we kept adding contracts for revenue and not seeing any raises because our boss was a deadbeat.

Then a coworker pissed off a client to the point where it went out to let other contractors bid on their services when I was on vacation and that client was basically 95% my responsibility anyway.

Decided to open my own business and bid on the client's services (my old company didnt even bother) and won

Now I make over double the money doing more or less the same work because I don't have a boss siphoning revenue to do basically nothing.

I got you. I too liked the expanded lore in Reloaded. Many will say The Matrix shouldn't have had sequels, but the way that movie ended left you with a "now what?" feeling. I really needed more than "we're all inside a matrix". Now add the killer action and you've got my favorite Matrix movie. Resurrections is pretty bad though, it does have intrigue at first but the good just doesn't outweigh the bad.

Yeah I think a lot of people unfairly put the failings on the third movie on Reloaded.

Like if you paid off the ending sequence with the Matrix inside a Matrix theory that a lot of people put out there or pretty much anything that isn't mecha fighting outside of the titular setting people wouldn't hate on it as much.

It's perfectly good as "movie that expands on the first in a good enough way and gives us lots of good action scenes" but in a vacuum it doesn't have a strong story arc of its own, being by and large to build the finale, and the thing is it builds up to a total flop.

But I still love it because the story is just good enough to serve as a vehicle for some awesome action scenes in the Matrix and I don't really need more than that. If anything the third and fourth movies being a flop in that regard makes me appreciate Reloaded because you aren't getting those badass scenes anywhere else and the series had its chances to deliver them.

For what it's worth I think this is less me being super high on Reloaded and more me being not as high on whatever the Matrix is supposed to be doing.

To me at its core The Matrix series is basically just a string of philosophical babble into fight scenes repeated ad nauseam in a really cool world setting. People say the first one is like really deep and stuff but I never really saw that.

Matrix is a bit more compelling in setting it up early but Reloaded adds to the lore in an interesting enough way and has much better fight scenes and babble.

Revolutions makes the world setting boring with all the mecha suit fighting and no Matrix and has worse babble and fight scenes by far.

Resurrections kinda recaptures the intrigue of the first early but doesn't pay it off very well and has pretty lame fight scenes.

As someone who rewatches Matrix 2 somewhat regularly I have to disagree.

I mean yes it looks a bit silly at times but it always did. The spectacle is what it's there for and it still succeeds at that.

Reloaded is great dance scene aside.

2 >= 1 >> 4 >> 3 is how I place them. It was underwhelming but as I wasn't expecting anything I can't even call 4 a disappointment really. It was better than 3 at least.

Seymour is the villain of the story but it is not a story primarily about overcoming a villain. And that's okay.

So I agree with the general sentiment in this topic but general sentiment isn't answering the question.
