I thought it was pretty decent but I already liked the main guy from when he was on Shameless. I could only watch a couple episodes at a time though. I felt stressed and tired all the constant arguing in the show.

It's not as necessary but it should still be considered. Especially since it's very easy to take those apart and clean them.

Also gives you a chance to check for leaking capacitors which could eat through the motherboard and kill the system. If any caps are bulging at the top then they need to be replaced.

You're the only other person I've ever seen mention Reyka. Im another one of those people who hate vodka but I can drink Reyka straight. It's so smooth and a great price.

Surprised you didn't add more thermal paste to the cpu while you were in there.

I took mine apart couple years back for that same reason. The thermal paste was what really fixed the issue on mine.

Been playing TMNT: Shredder's Revenge. Pretty fun game. It's very true to the original cartoon with lots of bosses and cameos.

Completely agree. Though after beating story mode once, I didn't feel any need to continue playing. The game doesn't do anything to keep you invested unlike SoR4 which has a ton of unlocks.

Since I don't even know what my username is on my PC, I just changed the permissions for Everyone.

Yeah that's what Jupiter and I mentioned yesterday. It's a simple fix but if you aren't in IT or anything, you probably aren't used to modifying permissions like that.

Also the Everyone group can be very dangerous since it makes things 100% wide open. Absolutely no security on that drive that would prevent hackers from accessing it. I'd suggest going to C:\Users and look for the folder with your username(it's probably just your name) and replace the Everyone with your account.

Your coworkers rely on you so they can continue to be lazy. Without you, they'll have to actually put in work. If you are the only person who has knowledge on how to do certain job functions then that's on your boss for not cross training more people. This operation worked before you were hired and it will continue to work after you leave. Your personal time is your personal time and the job will be there when you get back. No one at your job will give a damn if you pissed off your landlord or the electric company. Take care of your personal affairs first.

I was about to suggest this. Sometimes the ownership gets wonky and blocks you from accessing the drive when using external drives on different computers.

That S-1 long string is probably the SID for the user account on your old computer which currently is the "owner" of that external drive.

Well with 0 the map opens up halfway through Chapter 2, so it's not as slow a burn as, say, LAD.

I thought it was after Chapter 2 before you used both characters in their full maps?
Maybe I'm thinking before you can switch between them at will.

Keep in mind, it does take a few chapters before the map fully opens up. It is a slow burn at first.

I had my parents get me a 5200 for Christmas one year (already had a NES), cause it was cheap, I had an itch to play old Atari games, and the cartridges were stupid cheap. Damn thing barely lasted a year before breaking down for seemingly no reason.

Yeah the main issue I had was the controllers. In the end, one would move but not shoot and the other would shoot but not move. Limited me to just Pac-man out of the 7-8 games I had.

So they are remaking the N64 Goldeneye and releasing it on game pass, not sure the date but shit, that might be some fun multiplayer.

Apparently the remake on Gamepass won't have online multiplayer, only the port that'll be released on Switch Online.

People are very divided on the disco minigame. For some(like me), it's the easiest minigame in the entire game. For others, it's impossible.

Like most have said, I've never seen the retro community hate on emulators. I've seen them prefer real hardware for various reasons but never put anyone down that used emulators. Not everyone has the space or money to invest in real hardware, a CRT and/or upscalers, and real or flash carts.

Because flashcarts provide an identical experience to using the official game carts. They are also cheaper in the long run for people who just want to play retro games and not collect them. Not all of us in the retro community are collectors.

It's a little hectic when you first get through the doors. The staff is quickly trying to get everyone in so don't hold up the line. Don't carry a lot of stuff and have your few items(phone, keys, wallet) in your hands before walking through the metal detectors. Wallet in front pockets if you're able. Easier to pick pocket if it's in your back pocket.

Generally the show somewhat starts around the start time on the ticket. Opening band will play for about an hour, there will be a 15-30 min break while they set up the stage for NIN. NIN will play then take a small break before the 3-4 song encore. Most cities have noise laws where a concert can't go past 11 or 11:30 so expect the concert to be over at that time.

Traffic is a nightmare when a concert ends. What I generally do is look up the setlist for the tour and start walking out during the last song. I'm out the parking lot by the time people even make it to their cars.

If we lived in the town that this company is out of I'd be able to be home every night but we aren't able to relocate on such short notice. Which is why we decided to go this route because if I get the experience I need we can move to where we want to be and have the jobs we want.

I get that. Like I said, hopefully this won't be long term so you can move further up the ladder to something with a better work/life balance. My wife and I are up each other's asses so I can't imagine not seeing her every night outside fo the rare business trip.

What's the pay look like for a truck driver? You don't need to tell me what you make...just general pay range.

I worked for a OSB factory so I met my fair share of log truck drivers. They worked local and went home every night. Hopefully you can move to that soon enough after kicking ass in this position. Those long drives will destroy your body and hurt your marriage.

when you install it you must do an online check, it takes the hash from the cart.

when you uninstall, it sends a message back to nintendo saying that cart is free to be used again. If you uninstall and dont connect to the internet, the sever won't get the message you won't be able to install again until that system tells the server the cart is clear.

Went to see Jack White last night and the show was wild. Played less than two hours and crammed in 22 songs. He brought a DJ/hype man on tour that played music prior to the show, spoke to the crowd, and introduced the bands.

DJ mentioned that the band has no idea other than the beginning and end of the show what they are playing. Jack will just play whatever he feels like and they'll have to keep up. That seemed to be true cause at the end of each song the rhythm and drums would just continue while Jack bounced around to another instrument and started playing something else and they'd transition their beat into the next song. At one point he dropped his guitar to sit down at the piano, bang on it a bit, then play a minute snippet of another song before hopping up and finishing the original song. It was just a frantic continuous stream of music for the entire concert.

I generally just walk away from my laptop during lunch on Friday and never come back. >_>

I'm sure they are comfortable enough but they look awful. You can get an office chair that's just as comfortable if not more without the price markup.

Not true at all. Apple is dominating in the creative space for professionals ever since the M1 chips dropped. In terms of price/performance they can't be beat and the competition knows it.

If only Mac OS wasn't so goddamn limited it would literally be the perfect computer.

I'm not talking specs. I'm just talking about software no longer being exclusive to a particular os.
