i didn't craft any new SR or UR cards for my classic deck. 7 SR+ total and Judgment and the actually free Raigeki and Reborn. everything else is Rare or lower.

it's probably not very competitive if people were planning to go deep into it but i just wanted to play bad cards.

Going into a bank for the first time in months a d there are 15 people in a line that stretches around the room

in addition to the cards mentioned in the above vid, i went through the Classic Pool for some notable cards' rarities. bunch of old staples at lower rarities. i'm assuming that like me, people have an abundance of Rare and Normal craft points that don't see much use so it's definitely possible that making a deck won't be a drain on your resources for your "real decks"

They set a high bar for themselves, and this just ain't on the level of a Finding Nemo. It's alright, I mean it's sweet and charming but it lacks the depth of a classic Disney entry.

this is mostly how i feel when i watch the newer Disney/Pixar stuff and then i think "maybe it's just because of nostalgia"

then i go rewatch one of the older ones and "this still holds up really well" so yeaaa

When's the latest you'd want a commitment by?

I would want to post matchups by Friday night so people can start coordinating matches so tentative deadline for sign-ups right now is Friday Feb. 11th 9 PM Pacific.

Tentative date is Saturday Feb. 12. Ideally we would finish within the day with minimal wait times but its an online tournament so you know Coordination with your opponent for convenient times may be necessary.

The current plan is to have two separate tournaments (different card pools) running almost concurrently. All sets will be 2/3, no siding (because Master Duel lol) with double elimination.

Classic:

Note that some cards have had their effects changed from the past (erratad)

Classic Randomizer (get random pool of x cards from Classic pool to make deck with)
Rarity Lock (Rares or Normals only)
Archetype Assignment (roll an archetype to play with)
Etc.

Let me know if any of these sound interesting and what other alternative formats (if any) you would be interested in playing. Some of these would probably be more practical for DuelingBook because of crafting costs in Master Duel but everything is pending at the moment.

Well it's officially dying in like 6 days

Never even got into the story but I was so burned from deleting and reinstalling the game and having to go through that damn forced tutorial for rerolls.

I knew about the proper summon rule but can't remember where I first learned it.

I did run into the "was not properly SSed" notification for the first time on sunday which I thought was a nice touch. Idk if this would be feasible but I hope they add more notifications like that ingame for some rulings.

I liked most of the Marvel movies, but I didn't really love any of them. Just kind of got sucked into them and kept watching them because I was already watching them. Bordered on sunk cost but don't think it quite reached that level for me.

on one hand it's impressive and pretty cool regarding all the connections but on the other, it's also kind of gross that they just keep churning them out and each one's going to make a bajillion dollars and this will never stop

just watched Black Widow on a whim while i've got Disney+ and you know, for someone who claims to not care too much about the MCU, i sure have seen a lot of them

personal impact should always be the main determining factor in lists

Master Duel's single player is a little lacking so i went back to this for a bit. not to say that this game's single player is any good. i mostly just use it to familiarize myself with cards/engines. the only problem with that is that you can't craft individual cards or enter codes like in the old games and you HAVE to pull them from packs.
