I'm not sure I agree. If anything, I feel like porn quality has gone down. It seems like you keep seeing the same handful of people in various clips from a small selection of larger works. It's like anything else: when it gets too big, the quality goes down. I think 2004 - 2012 were peak porn years.

instagram has been a disaster for public standards in photograph resolution and video quality, which in turn has trickled into smut, previously an ever-brightening beacon of a sort for image quality and video fidelity

most "news" outlets are selling a brand with mostly opinion and sensation. events, little context, and generous commentary about what to think and feel about them and what should be parroted when discussing it with others. cnn had the hubris to try to further capitalize on it when their credibility has been in freefall for years.

on a tangent, if news outlets were valued based on impartial reporting, the ap and reuters might have a duopoly in the space.

stem degree -> grad research -> startup -> midsize business -> faang recruiters won't leave me alone

note: you can probably bypass the capital-intensive formal academic steps by taking a few career-relevant online / community college classes and then jumping right into startups, but it helps to be good/knowledgeable at what you do and to have an inclination to self-education (both on and off the job, as well as in and outside of class)
