Dunno why this is happening for ID, they seem to do pretty well for themselves. Would've thought they wouldve merged with en if anything. There's been quite a bit of drama relating to their KR brach tho, that'll probably be scrapped.

A common guess is just that the ID branch has been stagnating, and the EN (especially Luxiem) doing much better relatively must make them look worse by comparison...

Depends on how it's counted, I suppose.

I haven't seen it personally but everyone dunks on it due to several reasons:
1. Ben Platt plays Evan, despite being obviously in his mid 20s. The makeup or CG work also makes him look older and weirder.
2. They cut songs so now a majority of the songs are sung by Platt. Especially egregious was they cut Anybody Have a Map, making Waving Through a Window the very sad and dramatic opener.
3. The side characters are shoved off to the side.
4. Evan never gets called out for his actions. Good For You is cut.

Of course, watching it yourself can give you a more unbiased look, but yeah

Not only is "We Don't Talk About Bruno" not nominated for Best Original Song, but apparently Disney didn't even submit it for consideration in the category. My guess is they decided on their submissions before that particular song blew up.

Yeah that would make sense. After all, the ballads usually do well in awards.
