Not actually followed any of the American one. Sad to hear it's not been so good, as could be a great thing - just needs people to actually care. And given how popular other music shows are, no reason it couldn't be, and one many could take more seriously as no boring sob stories and the like.

Tentatively interested in this Canadian one, as same issues could arise again.

So how does the US show compare with the original? What makes it not as good? I've been watching US version but I have never seen Eurovision other than maybe a few clips on youtube
