Unless you really like it for a hobby, I can't really imagine sitting down to read a book these days tbh. With the little free time there is, I'd much rather be hanging with family/friends, watching tv/movies, listening to music, or playing video games.

I don't see how anyone can consider themselves a competent lyricist without a deep understanding of poetry. Of course Kanye's lyrics are just as bad as the rest of his music so it makes sense that he doesn't read any books.

I miss the costumes you could unlock in MM1, as well as some of the visual effects they had like the rave party (which didn't return in 2).

Removal of costumes kinda sucks but can live without it. Weird mushroom needs to come back as a separate powerup tree so you can have a weird mushroom and if you have a progressive fire flower it's a weird fire flower.

Affirmative defense? I'll admit, I'm not very learned in the legal arts so that's going right over my head.

Affirmative defense is something like self defense which you use to not get convicted of murder or fair use to not get convicted of copyright violation. There's a similar defense for people who accidentally stumble across CP as long as you destroy it.

If you don't and a cop searches your house for any reason and finds it you don't get the affirmative defense anymore.
