You could just burn a copy and give it to your friend. Since the Steam deck is a thing, it's also much more reasonable with how you use your software. You get essentially 4 free copies of every game you buy to give* to your friends. My idea isn't the best, but to say it's impossible is not true. MICHALECOLE posted... I dunno if this has already been said, but using the cart doesnt upload the entire game onto the system. Like size wise. This makes it relatively safe from Nintendo's perspective if they werent greedy as all hell. Yes: some people would play the game for free. But that already fucking happens and it hurts no one. My friends loaned my Fire Emblem, i played it all, returned the cart to them. We do it all the time, why do we let companies tell us this is unethical? at the end of the day we all already bought their overpriced, underpowered hardware and we all probably spent more on the system than we expected to. As others pointed out, in a consumer friendly world it would absolutely work along the lines of something I'm saying.
