Problem is its basically just Tesla and a few Chinese players that will be able to make EVs at scale for likely more than a decade from now.

Something like that. A big part of it is China moving over to electric vehicles as a default, and because of the way that generalized capitalism works this will end up making them much cheaper to produce than normal gas/diesel ones. By 2030 China is projected to be almost off of gas/diesel cars in terms of production but will still be <50% electric in terms of what people drive. However, as more people move to electric for the cheaper costs this number will eventually reverse. The exact time/date of this flip is largely up in the air based on which metrics you want to go with it is fairly reasonably assumed in the 2040-50 range (obviously not in the "hard numbers" sort of way). America, as well as most of the rest of the world, will largely follow suit though after some rather extreme amounts of turmoil economically. Much of the American economy is tied up in gas powered cars, directly or indirectly, and this will end up being a wild period to live through.

Blogfaqs. I rarely splurge all that much on myself. But feeling good about myself and reflecting on things today. I had a very difficult first 25 years. Grew up in an abusive and toxic home where police DV calls were frequent (against my parents or my brother who had violent tendencies in his teens). I was often verbally and physically abused by my mom and brother (occasionally by my dad). My brother was given everything by my parents because he was male, while my sister and I got scraps in comparison. I was relentlessly bullied from age 5-16 every single day at school due to racism.

I moved here in the US a little over 10 years ago at age 26 with $15k in debt, a mediocre job in a field I hated, and 0 life skills. I had no direction. My husband was a huge support in getting me situated, taught me the basics of saving and finances, helped pay off my debt, supported me through a huge career transition that was a big risk at the time and meant him taking a backseat in his career.

Im now making close to 5 times what I was making when I moved here. Im much more successful than my brother (hes very jealous about it too). I still feel relief at how peaceful my life is now. No more screaming. No one hitting me. No one destroying my property, or spilling juice over my head to humiliate me. Living a life I never dreamed possible with the most amazing little girl. And as a woman and a minority who managed to overcome all that and be successful, I feel extra good about it.

I really hope they don't add going to merchants to repair weapons. I hate when open world games do that. That just adds an extra layer of busy work that doesn't add any real fun and it's always hovering over the player for the good weapons.

If there's a quick way to gather resources in the open world to repair weapons that's different and fine with me. I just don't want to have the feeling of being rewarded when I constantly fast travel and backtrack to a blacksmith.

Significant durability is fine but I felt like that was already the case for a chunk of the good stuff. I guess they could go further though.

How do we make giant knife accptable?

Yeah I think the early weapons should've been easy to break, but like a knight's sword shouldn't break after 3-4 enemies. But enemies drop their weapons at such a high rate that generally you get more weapons available to you than you break. Iirc, mathematically you really should be getting more weapons than you use.

I think the better players are those who learn to use the proper weapon level against the proper level of the enemies.

But it certainly would've been cooler if the harder to obtain weapons had significant durability or at least the ability to be repaired. I have a feeling that'll be the case in BOTW2
