The US needs to prepare for potential future pandemics. Pandemics have occurred throughout human history and more will occur in the future(assuming we dont kill ourselves). To learn absolutely nothing from Covid means we will be starting from 0 whenever the next one occurs. We need money set aside. We need FDA procedures that would allow rapid approval of testing, vaccinations and treatment.

I would consider X to be the best of those and II to be the 2nd best. X has by far the best battle system out of them and the story was nice. II is, IMO, a great game, but it suffers a bit from predating the existence of non-magic skills.

The issue here is churn, not growth. Burning through the entire labor pool results in no potential workers to replace those who quit or get fired. Amazon could immediately stop growing and still run into this issue due to their unsustainable usage of labor.

Spoilers, if a price ceiling was placed on gas prices so it could only be sold for $1/gallon, gas would not be available due to suppliers leaving the market.

If this is caused by price ceilings, then hell no. Id rather have expensive gas than no gas.

Land is one of the few things that should be taxed. You didnt create it and in exchange for the exclusive rights to use a bit of land, you should be paying to compensate everyone who is now unable to utilize that land.

Mitigation efforts have to actually do something useful.

Some useful things would be fully approving Paxlovid and ensuring healthcare providers actually know about it. An emergency use for a specific subpopulation just results in far fewer people getting it.

Allowing vaccine manufacturers to update vaccines based on variants.

Companies having reasonable sick time policies so people dont feel like they have to go in even though they are sick.

People staying at home when sick.

For disease testing of incoming travelers, that has the most value when the disease being tested for is rare or non-existent in the country doing the testing and the least value when the disease is widespread.

With the way things are, we are best off assuming people will catch it and focusing our efforts on minimizing the severity once someone gets sick.

We need higher interest rates. Also, for like regular stuff, it takes time for interest rate changes to matter. Stock prices can be affected even before the rate change occurs, but the effect on anything that isnt a prediction of the future takes time.

At this point, the best case scenario in the US is that the FDA stops being stupid and allows the vaccine manufacturers to actually update their vaccines every year.

It is much easier to use an ad server than to actually manually place in ads. Like outside of say youtubers, it is hard to find ads that are manually placed into content instead of using some external thing to handle it all for you.
