A lot of times I just am not up for talking at all, focused on other stuff or not in the right state of mind, or might only really be up for reading and responding but then kinda poofing. It's...very inelegant for something like Discord, but right at home for a message board.

Uh... Lore spoilers for the series though I think all of this is derived from information in Dark Souls 1.


There is no "Dark Soul" anymore. The Pygmy split it into countless fragments, imbued in what became known as humans, effectively creating humanity. The "Humanity" sprite consumable items you find in Dark Souls 1, are shards of the Dark Soul. In this sense, every single human has a dark soul, hence the title Dark Souls. The name is basically a low key way of saying it's about humanity. This can also be observed in the visual design of certain boss souls throughout the series. Most of them are of light, but some are not, because they are either mixed in with dark souls, or purely composed of dark souls.

Is it maybe a cause of the recent roasting of your jeromes that suddenly happened? I really have to say that this roasting was, without any doubt, the strongest since the year 2000 hoax. Do you may have an idea why this waddling of your walters was so powerful? No? Well well well... I can for sure tell you the truth about this important event. It was ME who tricked you into this displeasement. I can hear your brain trying to comprehend who this is even possible. But, and I'm sure about this, you cannot comprehend of what happened to you because it is too complex. Even Zeus and Thor were struggling finding the right way in this gigantic and evil maze of trickery.

It took me 1000 years to fully write my plan down, and another 1000 to understand it. The complexity is higher than that of a 14-dimensional dodecahedron. It all starts out with the day of this legendary ruse. The day of rusement was carefully planned and calculated on this exact day. The day were an astronomical constellation appears, that will never occour again in the next 3 googolplex years. A constellation that generates an antimatter black hole. This sort of black hole doesn't suck matter. Antimatter black holes suck the "well being" out of everyone. But did you see someone feeling bad today? Yes, my little fellow I created a lens that focus the power of the antimatter black hole directly on you. It took 300 years to create this extremely complex lens and I had to combine the power of god and satan to create it. But not enough with the rusement. As I'm not some kiddy ruseman, I have planned even more trickery tricks to lead you into this discomfort. When you were mindlessly surfing on this GameFAQs i made a post that I was sure will put you in the mood of rage. This post was sprinkled with lies and intentional logical fallacies and a good portion of something you dislike seeing in your surroundings. With my ruseman instincts I already knew you were typing your response to the displeasing content you just saw. At the exact moment of sending your response you have started up the machine of displeasement and "not well being".

A machine that once started cannot be stopped. Not by God, not by Satan and not even by Cthulhu himself. While your comment was traveling through the cyberspace you started feeling bad. Something in your brain was screaming but you just didn't know why. It was destiny that you fall for my trickery. With this message you are currently reading I am telling you something you should have thought before you were sending your pathetic comment at me. I am, in fact, a MASTER RUSEMAN GRADE 3. I was part of the ancient circle of master ruseman. I can see on your face, that you already knew this. A ruse this fantastic and gigantic cannot be done by some low grade rusenoob. Yes you have been RUSEDI by me. There were only one RUSEDI knowen to mankind until now. Can you imagine of how hard it is to do? Only two RUSEDIS were executed in the past... 3... Trillin... years! It's really token. It's impossible to fail. You just hold the controller sideways and shake it like a spray can, then hold R2 to spray while moving it around to aim where the spray goes and it's just dumb. >_> The game actually STARTS with doing that. That's how the game leads in.

Yes. Infamous games are based on a karma system. Good/evil, represented by blue/red.

It will affect the entire story and protagonist and ending, what missions you do, the way your powers look and specifications of your powers and what enhancements they get.

Your choices will add to one of those karmas.

The previous infamous games already have a ton of problems themselves though, fun as they are. But what are some of the problems of this gen that the new infamous exemplifies?

I'm pretty sure it's shorter and possibly smaller in map size.

Lower variety of things you do.

There's a subset of side quests that you have to log in and make an account somewhere or some shit to even do.

It has forced motion control gimmick stuff that just screams "Sony demanded we try and justify their controller gimmicks!" The spray painting literally serves no function except to go "See? The controller can do things!" as you can't even fail it. It's just "please entertain Sony's hardware gimmick for a minute"

The game goes with pretty abstract concepts for powers like "smoke" yet largely uses it to just rehash the powers from the PS3 games, while also generally making a lot less sense than they did in the originals.


I expect sequels to basically go "Did you like the last games? Well here's more of that, expanded and elaborated on, and with bigger and better everything and new ideas!" and I doubly so expect that of next-gen. But that's the problem with this gen. It's not really next-gen like what next-gen used to mean. The jump from PS3 to PS4 was not impressive and due to unfamiliarity with even developing for the console, earlier games ended up shorter on scope and content, and this game is no exception. So we have a sequel, and a next-gen one at that, that is smaller and less varied and barely even puts forth any actual new ideas. It's at best: "Infamous: Another One"

Now, I really like the Infamous game formula and had been wanting to play one for awhile, so this was an okay like...20 hour experience, and I took my time, but it felt pretty lackluster for what it should have been.

As a fan of the Infamous series, I'm glad I got this game for free and played it recently, because it really emphasises a lot of problems I had with this gen.


If this is your first Infamous game though, well, if you find you like the general game formula, there's others like it so this might open new doors for you.
