It rather muddies the water since they're years away from learning what biologically makes a boy and a girl what they are, which is the main point of contention to transgenderism in the first place.

It's inappropriate for teachers to instill beliefs in children, particularly when they are not equipped with the appropriate information to decide for themselves.

Most kids already know the physical differences between boys and girls when they get to school. Especially if they have siblings. But even if they don't, how is it relevant? You don't need to explain genitals to a kid if they ask why someone is trans, you can just say that they're happier being a girl than being a boy (or vice versa). Pick a simple, age-appropriate explanation and you're good.

Beliefs don't have to come into play at all, and explaining that trans people exist is not instilling a belief in them.

i don't believe this

It has. When you have no choice but to eat gluten-free, then it doesn't really matter if it tastes like sawdust, right? But now that you have all these people doing it for "health" reasons, who want to have, say, a gluten-free sandwich, gluten-free food companies actually have to try to make their bread appealing, or the "health" people could just decide this is too hard and go buy normal, tasty bread.

As a result, over the last few years the more inedible bread brands have slowly been disappearing, and there's more than one that actually taste good!

Stuff like ready-made gluten-free desserts have been popping up as well. And flour mixes that you can swap 1:1 for wheat flour (instead of having to buy like five different kinds of flour to mix up and pray it works). Lots of nice little things like that.

Bullshit.

If the right person came along and was perfect in every way for you, you would obviously want to be in a relationship with them.

Otherwise it'd be cutting off the nose to spider face.

That's like saying if someone put my favorite meal out, I'd want to eat it no matter what. What if I'm not hungry? I'm not going to stuff myself just because the opportunity presents itself.

It's pretty common not to have the time or energy to be in a relationship. One could also feel like they aren't ready to have a relationship at the moment (perhaps they're going through a lot emotionally, or they're trying to improve themselves), or they could simply prefer being alone. Not everyone's ideal life features a partner.

I'm fine with having them at the beginning if they similarly aren't too long and have a good soundtrack. Opening credits should be shorter than ending credits, by virtue of standing between the player and starting the game, but provided they're done in an appropriately cinematic fashion (or better yet, overlay them while playing), I'm cool with them.

This is fine, too! I don't mind opening credits when they're handled well.

Serras

I hate to agree with Zeus about anything, but yeah, B/W story was awful. It was ambitious, and I can appreciate the attempt to try something new with the series, but...

The simple truth is that B/W tried to bill itself as a story with morally gray villains and it completely failed on that front. Ghetsis is irredeemably evil and so is his team, making them no different than any other evil team we've faced throughout the series. Plasma is just slightly better at manipulating public opinion than the others.

We get loads of scenes with no purpose other than to reassure us that Plasma is 100% evil. Remember Ghetsis cackling to himself about how he's got everyone fooled? Or the time that a random grunt is trying to "liberate" a little girl's beloved pet? Scenes like that exist to discredit Team Plasma as a whole because if the player believes Plasma has a point, then the player, who is opposing them by being a trainer, cannot be wholly good. Pokemon is a series that you're meant to feel good about playing, so Nintendo is never going to make the player question the morality of their own actions. That's why Team Plasma's evilness is exposed and emphasized the way it is, and why this kind of story was doomed to fail from the beginning. You cannot have morally gray villains and purely heroic protagonists at the same time.

I personally prefer Sun/Moon's story because I prefer a story that succeeds at what it sets out to do than a story that promises more than it can deliver. Sun/Moon tried to capture the feeling of a group of friends adventuring together (X/Y...sorta tried, sorta failed), as well as show Lillie's growth as a person as she gradually breaks free of her mother's influence. Since it focused on the characters more than anything else, it succeeded.

However, if you don't like character-driven stories much you probably won't be a fan of Sun/Moon. It is admittedly on the simple, but heart-warming, side.

I'm curious to know what you consider a prize, so I'll humor you and guess at a few.

Sol: Obviously has to do with the sun, which plays a role in a lot of religions.
Jet: Black, because he's an assassin type character? Or for his dark secrets?
Hin: Short for Hinata, which can mean sunny place or toward the sun? Lots of the bonus effects only happen during morning or day.
Fay: Same pronunciation as fey/fae, chosen for her association with faeries.
Ere: Literally "before," so probably some ancient who's been around since time began or some nonsense. Space-themed weapons support that.
Vul: ...From the mythological Vulcan?
Que: Question? Or derived from one of the many similar question words in romance languages?
Mar: From the god Mars? Or "martial?" Seems pretty war-like with that weapon choice.

You need to vary your name length. Giving every character a 3-letter name looks weird.

If I'm making a PBJ, I'll need to wash my hands after getting the peanut butter out of the cabinet, even if I had just washed them before getting the bread out.

I've managed to sort this out by using my left hand to touch non-food things and my right hand only for food, but it still results in an awful lot of hand-washing.

Even still, it is plastic. Cosplay should be movie-quality. Legit cosplay takes a lot of money and is made-to-order, which is why it is extremely rare.

I'm sorry, did you miss the part where cosplay is largely amateur? You expect them to make stuff with the same materials and equipment as paid professionals....why?

You also know that movie props aren't all made of what they appear to be, right? Thor's hammer is plastic.

Even when weapons and armor are made of real steel, that's often only for close-up shots. Realistic weapons and armor are too heavy for actors to swing/move around in all day. For every fancy steel sword you see on screen, there are several copies of it in a lighter material, such as aluminum, bamboo, rubber, or plastic, used for all other shots. Cosplayers have to walk around in the same costume all day, so even if they had access to professional metalworkers, most would still opt for the lighter stuff for practicality. You can't fault them for that when movies do the same.

It varies by maker, but anything bigger than a regular 8.5"x11" sheet of paper is pretty large. 6"x4" or smaller is pretty small, and anything in between seems around average. Some common sizes are 10"x6.25" and 8"x6", so you can probably find some well-reviewed tablets in those sizes for about $50-80. Keep in mind those measurements are just for active area, so the tablet itself may be significantly bigger. I draw with mine in my lap since I have no desk space, haha.

What's a good starting size? Also, what does size really do? I understand more area that you can work with but I've never used one before so I'm not sure what else a bigger size has.

Sorry for late response. A larger size allows you more precision more easily. If you draw, say, a line that's two inches long on your tablet (two inches across the tablet's area, not on the computer), it'll turn out waaaay longer on a small tablet compared to a big one, because that two inches is much more surface area on the small tablet. The working area on a tablet always represents your entire computer screen.

Of course you can counteract this by just zooming in a lot, which is recommended for digital art anyway.

A larger tablet also allows your hand to make wide, sweeping gestures, so if you like to draw like that, you'll need a larger tablet. If you don't do that or are new to drawing entirely, don't worry too much about getting something big, just get something that's within your price range that isn't too small for you. If you can comfortably draw in a small 6"x4" space, cool, if you can't or don't know, I'd advise going for a medium sized tablet.
