What is the actual gameplay part of it like? I don't know anything about it other than how the music mixing works.

The cards have a color representing what part of the song it is and a number from 1-3 (how loud it is?) The board has 5 spots: yellow/red, red, red/blue, blue, blue/green.

You get to do 2 actions per turn. Usually this is playing two cards.You have to put down a card that matches color and meets or beats the number currently on that spot. You get bonus points if the color you put down wasn't currently represented at all on any of the spaces, and bonus points if every space on the board is a card you placed. The other thing you can do is hit a button on the side of the board that makes a random number get chosen, and all of your opponent's cards with that number get removed and they lose points for each card removed.

There's also effects cards that are colorless and can be played anywhere. These can be used to take advantage of the color bonus right after, plus all of them have some sort of extra effect when played like play another card or get points for certain things. And wild cards can be played anywhere while also counting as being the actual color(s) on the space.

So is the only reason to get additional packs is because you personally like the songs in them? Other than the effects cards it doesn't seem like there's much involved in deckbuilding.

Oh, for starting hands, yeah. It's just late game when you're running a little behind and then you rip 4 lands in a row. That same feel bad from Magic is still there.

It doesn't eliminate the problem entirely, but if this is happening a lot you aren't playing enough of the cards that search for sigils.

Kind of annoying that it's so soon after Opus 3 comes out, especially since it got delayed 2 weeks. I'm planning on just using proxies for now and then buying the singles I'll need like a week before. That way i won't be committing to something and finding out the meta shifted to a hard counter.

So i got lucky enough to get a ticket to the US nationals for the Final Fantasy card game. Is anybody good at the math for this? 200 people play 8 rounds in a swiss tournament to make a top 64. Then the 64 play 6 rounds to make a top 8. Assuming no ties or drop outs, how many rounds do you need to win at each phase to move on?

The main story isn't, and in this one the story is long enough that you could do just that and be satisfied. But the whole point of this series is the postgame super grind where you can get the stats to ridiculous levels.

Also, the water sphere, like, insulated the world from radiation or something, which is why carbon dating anything prior to the Flood gives wildly inaccurate results ("millions of years old").

If anything, shouldn't that cause carbon dating to give results that something is much newer than it really is?

Is duel links decent for somebody that knows nothing about the actual game? I remember trying a different Yugioh mobile game, and while it had somewhat of a tutorial it still flew through more advanced topics.

I only have the starter decks and no one to play with. but yeah, booster products are exceptionally rare. maybe opus 3 will be better, but I doubt it.


as I say that, I notice CSI has both opus 1 and 2 boosters in stock, so I may pick some up.

How recently have you been looking? Opus 1 got a reprint a couple of weeks ago and the stores around me have had a decent supply of them.

I'm hoping to find the new starters soon. My fire/lightning deck could really use Vivi and Amarant.

We have a different section that we put all of the controls in, and currently gabapentin has an entire endcap to itself. That's going to take forever to rearrange things so it'll fit.

Eternal is like playing MtG with Hearthstone's UI. It's the only digital TCG I've spent money on, and that was mainly because I felt like supporting the devs.

Krosmaga is fun too. There's 5 lanes that you summon minions on, and after you've summoned them they just walk on the lane and fight on their own. It's really cool, but the English community is way smaller than the French community, so you're pretty much on your own for figuring stuff out.
