| Verdekal 08/19/17 3:33:01 AM #3 | LysistrataMedea posted... for science, the best route (in addition to having at least an A- avg GPA- at least for Johns Hopkins), is to start research projects as soon as possible. find a professor working on what you want to work on and try to offer your assistance. it's easier if you've taken a class with them and have a great GPA. there are probably courses dedicated to research opportunities (usually with a professor but sometimes you're at the helm) too, my uni has them for every program. Thanks. Would I be better off with a degree in molecular biology or biochem? I think I'll just take classes my first semester and then look into internships the following one. It's not a competitive school but it has the lowest acceptance rate (50%) of all the big campuses around except for UPenn. There are some smaller colleges like Swarthmore and Haverford but those are liberal arts schools. --- Don't tease the octopus, kids! |
