We need future genetic engineering to make lives better such that the body ages slowly compared to current bodies.

Imagine being 100+ years old, but the physical body is the equivalent of a modern day 50 year old.

Your quality of life and what you could do within life would be amazing.

Yeah, you would still die at around 117-120, but your body wouldn't be so degraded that life would be so miserable that you're cooped up in an old folks home.

You'd be able to go out and about and do things like normal people.

That should be the goal of modern genetic engineering.

This is why we need a common school uniform that is gender neutral for all levels of schooling.

Every school should have some form of:

Capri's (form fitting, loose, baggy, or cargo variants are allowed) + some form of blazer or sweater vest on top of a button up shirt with the school logo.

The belts, shoes, socks, underwear, hats, outter jacket, backpack can be whatever the student wants.

But we need some form of common clothing to avoid unnecessary distraction.

Imagine what Private Companies can do to improve rail service across the nation.

As long as we stop allowing monopolies to form and prevent that kind of monopolistic non-sense.

Of course the Federal/State Government would still have to own the rail lines and maintain it.

But the trains / service itself should be handled by private corporations.

It's very possible for an individual who doesn't have mental illness to purchase a gun, but someone in their household does have a mental illness to get the gun and use it... I mean Sandy Hook anyone? While I believe that the second amendment is outdated, gun control does little to no effect to reduce gun violence, unless someone can show me evidence suggesting otherwise. I mean not to mention the fact that there's so many unregistered guns out there. So yes, I do believe every citizen should have the right to own a gun.

Gun's generally are not to be registered unless it's a NFA item. That's the only legal registry allowed.

Canada Tried Gun Registration and gave up because it was too expensive
https://www.forbes.com/sites/danielfisher/2013/01/22/canada-tried-registering-long-guns-and-gave-up/#588d7f805a1b

And registration is a slippery slope, next thing you'll be like England / Australia which they'll try to push for confiscation.

Any type of Registry has a good chance to be abused.

At the end of the day, the only thing we need are two major changes.

1) National ID / National Drivers Licenses like every other first world country
2) Fire Arms Validated Access ID

What you need is to check the PEOPLE.

PEOPLE will always be the problem, an inanimate object like any arms won't do anything by itself.

So the thing we need to do is to register people and have them checked out and constantly updated in a database.

Registering guns like (SBR's / SBS's) is a meaningless and waste of resources.

The fact that so many pistols exist and pistols do most of the harm when you look at FBI stats shows that such dumb legislation made during the prohibition era was meaningless, dumb, and a waste of resource.

You need to keep track and validate people, that's the only thing that ever matters.

True the attempt failed but atleast it was made if that part is true. I have no issues with self defense and to me the defender reacted the right way. Just saying that I would try to offer mercy if I felt it fit the situation, but with armed invaders that mercy is limited, and if armed with guns practically non existant.
Let me ask you something, if it was you in the house and not this kid in the exact same scenario and you are trained to use the AR-15 to the same level of proficiency as the Adult Child in this scenario.

1) You don't have the current knowledge of what the Burglars had in their arsenal other then the weapons in their hands (They might have pistols in their wastebands on their backside or hidden underneath their clothes)
2) You don't know if there are more accomplices with the Burglars waiting around outside
3) You don't know if they aren't going to go back and get guns or other weapons
4) You don't know if they are part of some sort of gang who will come back for revenge
5) You can't identify them if they are wearing masks, so there's no way to track them down once you make that police report should they escape and potentially come back

Are you going to risk injury / death or future injury / death of you, your loved ones, your family?

Most normal people in a Life / Death situation; it's a who shall survive, me, or the criminals on the other side.

The vast majority of people will pick themselves first, and to hell with the criminals.

I'm no different. There should be no expectation of giving any quarter to the enemy, retreating or not.

Most people don't have a private army to secure their home 24/7.

Police will never be there on time in 99% of the cases, they'll only be there to cleanup and write reports.

Do you want to risk having to be a body left to be cleaned up later?

There should be no expectation of anything other than Defending yourself and ending all criminal assailants, retreating or not.

This doesn't.

Why should she have to suffer for something she didn't do just because she's a jerk?

should we also pin 9/11 on her because why the fuck not?

I think unless you can argue that she tricked the 3 kids who didn't know they were robbing a place, you can't blame the murder on her. Only the robbery.

"They wouldn't be there if not for her!" doesn't make it her action any more than their parents.

She outted herself as the "Ringleader" of this Burglary group that I like to label as the 'Burglary 4'.

We already have people to blame on 9/11, that has no relevance to this case.

Doesn't matter if she tricked, convinced, seduced, etc; those 3 followed her leadership into this Burglary Endeavor and suffered fatal consequences of following through on this idea.

As long as a person commits a crime against you, they are threat, retreating or not.

When your life and the life of your family is on the line, sportsmanship is out of the window.
Survival is the only thing that matters along with protecting yourself, your family, your friends, and your property.

So he had a chance to stop and talk to them? He shot one in the back as they were fleeing? Look, if the two he shot first jumped him, I get it...that could be considered self defense if he truthfully feared for his life...but the one running away? That person is an idiot and should have faced consequences, but if you shoot someone in the back as they're running away you are no longer doing it in self defense, you are doing it in anger and spite...And that shouldn't become a thing...

and before all you gun nuts attack me, I don't blame him for shooting if he feared for his life, but all this "FAIR NEXT DON'T ROB PEOPLE THEY DESERVED IT" bull shit needs to stop....
Just because a criminal is running away, doesn't mean they aren't a potential future threats.

There's been plenty of cases where bad guys hit the same target multiple times because it's a easy target.

Given that they brought weapons the first time, the Adult child had plenty of reason to fear for his life and his family's, especially if they come back for revenge or to finish off what they started.

According to both the gunman and the dad, that's exactly what they did. They had a conversation in the Kitchen, then he shot two of them then and there, the 3rd tried to run away and he shot the 3rd.

Dunno which is which but one of them wasnt even an adult, could well have been the one running away
Then the adult child that was defending himself was kind enough to warn them before things got worse. Obviously negotiations failed and those 3 got what they deserved.

And the fat ring reader gets what she deserves, she literally drove the other 3 into the situation to burglarize the place, she's the exact reason why those 3 are dead.

No Robbery, No Death from Self Defending Adult Child who lives there.

Simple logic, if you want to avoid risking death, don't commit a crime.

Vast majority of society doesn't commit crimes, ergo they don't risk death due to commiting crimes.

He should have left guns by the front door so the crims could have armed themselves and ensured a fairer 'fight'.
I hope you're being sarcastic, you know I can't hear the tone of your voice over a message board text post.

In the eyes of the law, self defense doesn't require the use of equal force, only reasonable force. When three young men have dangerous weapons which could easily kill you, I would say his force was justified.
Don't forget it was 3 vs 1.
His rifle made it the great equalizer.

Equal force. The ar15 was not equal force. Should not have pulled the trigger unless there was evidence of life being threatened or another firearm was on the boys

In the heat of the moment, when 3 masked assailants with knives and brass knuckles enters your home from the sliding screen door, are you going to give them time to maybe bring out a gun, or are you going to give them time to come to a sportsman like battle in a 3 vs 1?

NO! Of course not, nobody in their right mind would do that.

You enter somebody else's property illegally at your own risk.

Nobody with common sense would willingly risk their own lives for criminals.

If they don't want to suffer consequence, don't commit a crime.

There is no excuse for criminality, there should be no apology for self defense.

Don't commit crimes, you are 99% likely to not suffer any fatal consequences because of stupid decisions.

As a grandparent / parent, they need to teach children these basic things that the vast majority of people seem to understand / know about.

Like don't commit a crime, or it might not end well for you.
