Trump can't afford to lose the support of 34 percent of Republicans. Obviously, this is not the sole deciding factor on which they will base their voting preferences, but

I doubt they're going to drop all other ideologies because of it. They're likely still going to vote republican.

I'm not tickled pink with Trump, but I will likely vote for him again over damn near any Democrat.

What has he done to earn your vote again?

Right; I think most Republicans, when it comes down to it, will take Trump's...everything over marginally higher taxes on the rich.

There are more wealthy whites than wealthy blacks... a lot more. They see us as welfare queens and thugs and gangbangers. If they raised taxes on the rich and helped the poor it would represent a transfer of wealth from white to black, and they can't abide that. About 75% of their ideology comes down to keeping Caucasians on top of the totem pole.

You can cook up polls to make anyone look bad or idiotic.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/ben-smith/2011/04/more-than-half-of-democrats-believed-bush-knew-035224

"How likely is it that people in the federal government either assisted in the 9/11 attacks or took no action to stop the attacks because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East?" the poll asked.

A full 22.6% of Democrats said it was "very likely." Another 28.2% called it "somewhat likely."

That is:More than half of Democrats, according to a neutral survey, said they believed Bush was complicit in the 9/11 terror attacks.

The vast majority of Republicans also support disenfranchising minorities with gerrymandering and voter ID laws. Over 40% thought Obama was Kenyan and 30% couldn't say either way. Racist fear mongering about MS13 was the lede all day today on Republican media like Fox News. Republicans embrace selfish tax policies that keep all the wealth concentrated in the hands of the (almost entirely white) overclass instead of helping minorities get a fair shake. They elected the Birther in Chief president, and they justified it by rationalizing they needed to steal the Supreme Court away from the tens of millions of people of color who might have had their views represented and their voice heard if Obama's nominee got through. Republicans aren't good dude.

Even from "decent" conservative outlets like National Review and Weekly Standard. Also lots of articles that can't help but take a dig at liberals, e.g. "White nationalism is just as nebulous as white privilege" (It isn't).

Tbh if you are the kind of person who voted for Trump in order to deny millions and millions of African Americans, Hispanics, and other people of color who happen to be liberal a voice on the Supreme Court which should have been theirs, you are part of the problem. Republicans can never justify stealing that nomination. It was an act of pure contempt for people across the aisle, and many of us happen to be minorities.
