I'm still in college. I have experience in my field through my school's internship program so it will be easy to get a job when I graduate but I still haven't gotten laid so I don't know if it will have been worth it. first of all I think this is romanticizing refugees. like they all have a story where they got out of an active warzone by the skin of their teeth, bullets grazing past their ears as they ran. usually not the case.

I also think this is patronizing refugees. They're not "special", they're just trying to live their lives. I'm sure they can find their own way in their new home.

finally, is this propaganda? yes. this is western propaganda because it's making out our nations and our people to be so generous as to let them in. as if we're not the ones who destabilized their region in the first place.

there is kind of a clash between western people and their own governments here. the government has the responsibility to accept these people, in my opinion, because they are partly responsible for the crisis causing them to move away from their homes. however, the citizens of the western nations don't understand why they have to live with this mass refugee crisis because the average person has and wants nothing to do with it. well, no surprise the government can exploit that to grow feelings of nationalism and the cycle continues.
