I don't view it that way. Millennials are the later half of gen y and the early part z. It's the people who grew up on social media and broadband internet . The kids that were coddled and not taught how to cope with failure. The people that have become the sjw snowflakes because they believe society needs to cater to them. Gen y is pre modern internet. Millennials grew up with social media. MySpace was barely a thing when I was in high school. I went to college before Obamas changes to grants and was employed just as the recession was starting rather than as it was recovering. I wasn't getting participation trophies in youth sports and we kept score. The rise of the internet, and the impact it had on your childhood, is a huge difference, and that is the point of being a millennial.
