MILLENIALS

Unless you're over say 35, and I doubt there are that many users over that age here anymore.

But please continue using astrology to assign a character profile to everyone you don't like in society

You saying it doesn't make sense does not mean it does not make sense.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennials
There are no precise dates for when this cohort starts or ends; demographers and researchers typically use the early 1980s as starting birth years and the mid-1990s to early 2000s as ending birth years.

TL;DR - your formative years are in the 2000s. You are a millenial.

Gen y is pre modern internet. Millennials grew up with social media. MySpace was barely a thing when I was in high school. I went to college before Obamas changes to grants and was employed just as the recession was starting rather than as it was recovering. I wasn't getting participation trophies in youth sports and we kept score.

The rise of the internet, and the impact it had on your childhood, is a huge difference, and that is the point of being a millennial. If you used yahoo or ask jeeves as your primary search engine throughout school, you weren't a millennial.

I don't view it that way. Millennials are the later half of gen y and the early part z. It's the people who grew up on social media and broadband internet . The kids that were coddled and not taught how to cope with failure. The people that have become the sjw snowflakes because they believe society needs to cater to them.

The next divide is the kids who grew up with smart phones. And remember kids are not teens.

Because what you personally feel a millennial is according to various negative character traits you dislike is not what a millennial is, and that's entirely my point. Millennials are just people born within a certain date range. The exacts of that date range are up to scrutiny, but generally agree on somewhere between 1980 and 2000.

If you want to define millenials as just anyone who is a snowflake who needs to toughen up and get a real job, that's fine. But it makes no sense other than to just pat yourself on the back for being a trooper.
