I define "get there" as making 8+, TBH. If you think about it, every win you get is somebody else's loss, and each somebody only gets 3. In a very ultra-simplified way of thinking, that means 3 wins should be average. Anything over 7 is supposed to be breaking even in terms of rewards vs the cost of arena.

Black and Even Flow charted the highest off of 10. Black wasn't even released as a single, it just got spread by DJ and fan preference.
Alive and Jeremy were on SNL which helped them a great deal

Pearl Jam's early records sold more then Nirvana. VS had the record for most first week sales until the Backstreet Boys came along and this was without major promotion or videos to accompany the record.
Nirvana had the bigger hit, but Pearl Jam was the bigger band. After Kurt died Nirvana's popularity skyrocketed.

And that's all good and fine. You can quote whatever the official numbers were. But I heard Alive and Jeremy way more on the radio, and they also came first, which meant the band's popularity wasn't nearly as in full swing.

As for Nirvana vs PJ, Nirvana was bigger...I saw way more signs of fans of Nirvana than Pearl Jam probably all the way up until Kurt's death. Pearl Jam is the objectively better band, but everything Nirvana did was huge.

See, I'd be okay with them calling it "classic rock." That means it's been around a while, but it's dignified. It's got the respect of time on it's side. Plus the term itself doesn't feel as inherently ancient to me as "oldies". Growing up, to me, oldies was the 50s and classic rock was the 70s. So basically, -40 years and -20 years. When we reach 2020, the 80s can be considered oldies, but not the 90s.

Read the posts so far, and I've been entertained so far by the relative homogeny. I was never a huge Star Trek person, outside of TNG, though, so I'm going to be pretty useless in appreciating most of this. (And I was so young and clueless when I watched the TNG stuff that I didn't ever member Pulaski being appalling. She was just "oh, wait, where's Dr. Crusher?")

A jade rogue managed to use Spiritsinger Umbra effectively against me. Considering how much jade rogue I play, a tiny part of me wants to craft the card, egged on by the awareness that there will be deathrattles in the next expansion. However, it's still a pretty fragile card in terms of tempo. Anyone want to convince me to proceed? (Thinking I should at least wait 'til I see the next set's cardlist. It's not that far away.)

As long as you're on board with the storybook motif and the forced rhyming throughout the dialogue, it's decent enough. I thought their battle mechanic where you had the ability to affect opponents' place on the ATB meter was really neat.

Is there any real reason to allow the hunting of game like lions? Like, hunting season for deer exists in part to limit their numbers for their own good so they don't overpopulate. I don't think Africa is suffering from an issue where lion reproduction is outstripping the available resources of the land.

It baffles me that people don't understand this shit was real all along. LP was never about being angsty, emo, cheesy, whatever. It was literally a beacon of hope for people who felt the same way. They got popular because they made some catchy songs, but it was always a real thing for people dealing with similar struggles.

Truth.

In 2002, I was a morbidly depressed college junior who was flunking out of school because i didn't give a shit about anything, and literally spent 14 hours a day crying to myself in bed and the other 10 playing EverQuest because it was the only place where I felt like there were people who gave a damn about me. I knew quite a few other EQ'ers like that, and we often bonded over Linkin Park lyrics.
