Really? I feel like Nintendo's been pretty disappointing for the last few years. Before Zelda, they were having almost no significant new games each year, with their biggest announcements being things like Star Fox Zero, Paper Mario Color Splash, and so much Amiibo crap

Keep in mind this is because the Wii U was pretty much dropped like a hot potato so they could focus entirely on the Switch. The last couple years of that console were pretty much nothing.

On that note, most looking forward to Nintendo this year to see if Switch can continue building momentum.

Ep 1 is pretty blargh. As others have said 2 is a huge jump up and by 4-5 you start getting into actual "top shows ever" level and it only keeps rising.

I totally get hating Steve Trevor in some iterations of the comics, but this was basically an ideal version of his character that does exactly what he was meant to in the best way. He doesn't diminish her at all unless you think someone being inspired and/or helped by someone else makes them a worse person.

Over the weekend, I heard that some studio insiders want to hold off critic screenings until opening day or cancel them all together (that’s pretty ambitious and would cause much ire, we’ll see if that ever happens).

Evolutionary theory doesn't really work on humans in modern society because people live regardless of whether their traits are beneficial to the species or not. Which is actually a good thing as far as the accomplishments of our species goes, but our biological makeup is pretty much done changing. Calamity Ganon, easily. I've already fought him a dozen times and enjoy it every time.

The no-dungeon boss run is the best thing.

Persona 4 feels more inspired by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4 than Twin Peaks really.

Really bummed that the only games to get significant rep in any recent projects (Heroes is fine now but it was this way at first) are those same three. lol wut at the people saying Sega. Sega is easily the best company in modern gaming in both quality and management and you need to learn a bit more about what they've been up to in the last 5ish years if you think otherwise.

Haven't been in darn close to a year, seeing as 2017's wave of awesome was starting to get Japanese releases and /v/ is horrible with spoilers. Now that I'm just about done with all those games, I'll be heading back when I wrap them up.

I agree that it's weird that so many people seem to think the whole site is like /b/. /b/ is a shithole for sure, but there's really no place on the internet quite like /v/ for discussing video games. I've said it before but even reddit is pathetically slow by comparison.

I haven't touched quick play or competitive since arcade came out. Not because I prefer arcade, but because by the time I'm done earning my loot boxes I've had my fill of Overwatch for the week and want to spend my time with other games. Definitely agree they need some kind of incentive to play the "real" modes by comparison.
