PS4 by far if you're going for exclusives. I don't get the people at all who say this gen is bad. It's easily among the best already and it's only just hitting its stride. 2017 alone is debatably the best year in gaming ever and that's mostly due to PS4.

I wound up yelling at my immediate supervisor when I found out we were going to be reading database data during update transactions. It's sometimes okay to do but in our case, we need the extra coherency and guarantees to help preserve the integrity of the system.

right off the bat i'd suggest a few things:

- cut out junk food from your life, including soda
- start reading the labels of things you eat
- start preparing your own food instead of eating out / fast food / etc

from there:

i'd highly suggest a ketogenic diet or a paleo diet. i can give a little more detail if you want, and there are a lot of resources out there that will help, but these are IMO the most effective diets for weight loss if you stick to them. basically the point is very low carb, very low sugar, and if you do paleo it's only "natural" foods, with no refined sugars or wheat.

eventually you can work in exercise. low impact shit like swimming/walking if you have trouble doing it and then eventually work your way up to lifting/running/etc. diet is a lot more important than exercise though when it comes to weight loss, but exercise is very important.

the real key is consistency. it's not enough to be good for a day, or 3 days, or a week etc. you have to stick at it, not deviate, avoid binge eating etc. it's hard but once you force yourself for a little bit and find foods/practices that work for you it'll become as much of a habit as binging on junk food or whatever.

a good one costs nearly a thousand dollars, but they are not repairable and are designed to be entirely disposable within like 2 years. they are ultra thin, are made out of mostly glass, and many are not waterproof, so they're basically designed to be broken unless you put them in some giant fucking otterbox.

then when you get the actual phone it has like a 2 hour battery life that gets worse the longer you use it, and of course the battery is not replaceable. your carrier will charge you like $100+ a month to use this phone, and naturally your phone will absolutely eat up data in the background (so you'll go over your limit), unless you are very saavy and know how to manage it well. with each new update to your phone comes some new kind of problem, especially if you are on an Android phone.

finally, having a smartphone makes you a slave to a billion different notifications from all your apps, and even if you turn them off, just having a smartphone now makes it socially acceptable that you should respond to all messages/emails/etc immediately, or else you are an asshole. so enjoy having this glass rectangle constantly buzzing in your pocket until it slides out and shatters into a million different pieces

and dont even get me started on the hell on earth that is typing with your thumbs on a touch screen

makes absolutely no sense when you think about it for like 2 minutes

so the premise is that hannah and that other girl whose name escapes me hit the stop sign, and that results in jeff's death because they didn't call it in, and somehow this shows the lack of character of the driver girl or something about guilt or whatever. but really it was just dumb. they could have used their cell phones and said anonymously "hey, we saw there was a sign down on Main Street" without ever getting in trouble; there's no need to implicate themselves. and even if they did call in the sign, it's not like the cops would have been there in the next 15 minutes to fix the sign, they'd probably just send someone in a few hours to maybe put a cone there or something. The show barely even understands what a stop sign is for - it's not like without stop signs you are supposed to drive top speed down residential streets without looking lol

and then hannah gives this event the same weight as a guy putting her in a hot girls list or her getting violently raped by the jock. it's such a huge fucking stretch and it feels so contrived to have this event linked to jeff's death. i get that the whole premise of the show is that every little thing you do has an effect on other people, but the way they dramatized this as some kind of a moral fault on the behalf of the girl who hit the sign just seemed very silly.
