I'm not a big fan of it, but given I live in the US it's not much of an issue for me. At least, not with the content I watch. I suspect it can be bypassed through a VPN however

you're not gonna get past region lock on a console with a VPN

on PC, you can, sure, but there's not really a point to it since pc games aren't really region locked.

unless we aren't talking about games here, in which case whatever i don't care

Plus, you shouldn't have to.

Are they ninjas now? Under cover? Going through an awkward goth phase?

Guess we'll wait and see

I'm hoping this isn't their "permanent" look or design and just a snapshot of them while on a mission, and that we'll see them in detail when the season goes on. Don't know how many episodes the season is going to be. Honestly as much as I liked the idea of more characters in season 2 = more stories, I liked the tight-knit family like element of the first season with the main crew. Plus we didn't even get more stories or equal focus on all the new characters in season 2, hell it was shorter than season 1... instead we got too much teen drama love triangles between miss martian and superboy and "merlin's beard" annoying frog boy monster thing. The guy that turns into a blowfish or whatever.

Oh right that's what happened. Shame I thought Tye was so goodlooking and I liked the astral projection idea a lot.

Edit: but I'm kinda sad that there's no Raven or Aqualad

It's probably spoiler, stephanie brown, aka female Robin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephanie_Brown_(comics)#/media/File:The_Spoiler_(The_New_52).jpg

nvm found out who all of them are: http://io9.gizmodo.com/young-justice-outsiders-reveals-its-new-heroes-and-the-1797134284

13 and Arrowette

13 is a magic user and arrowette prolly is a swordsman or some shit llol

Ugh I won't judge maybe they'll be well written. It's just we've gotten so used to the main gang and we really want to see them again... then again I do remember myself saying "I want to see more of Wonder Girl's character" back in YJ season 2 so I guess be careful what you wish for and all that. I can't recall a show that wasn't made worse by being brought back after being dormant for so long. They should have never canceled it in the first place...

instead of extended cuts, I wish they just made a trilogy for each book. for a total of 9 movies. I know they wish they had. that's why Hobbit, the shortest book, got it's own trilogy. if they ever reboot LOTR, they will for sure do this.

And the hobbit was a mess of boring scenes and nonsense that was half made up for padding because of that.

Maybe not a trilogy, how about 2 movies each if they HAVE to be that long? It would at least justify why my blu-ray of the movies has me switching discs like I was playing a ps1 rpg.

Also on another sidenote there were some Young Justice comics that I'm very tempted into reading. They have amazing art and color (a once rarity in comics) and they seem to go into stuff even the tv episodes didn't. I particularly enjoyed a panel with Nightwing and the girls where it was Nightwing's birthday.

That being said I'm not really a fan of this cast or Static's redesign. Yeah that's apparently supposed to be Static as in Static Shock. I would have been really interested in another Static Shock with this design:

http://noticiasdatv.uol.com.br/media/_versions/noticias/2014/1413919787super_choque_serie_fixed_big.jpg

http://www.terrazero.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/YJR2114-1024x576.jpg

http://static.tvtome.com/images/genie_images/story/2013/y/youngjustice_s2e14_runaways/YoungJusticeInvasionRunaways04.jpg

And on a side note I really liked the reference to Apache Chief (who I always liked from Superfriends) in that one kid, would definitely like to see him again as well in this modern era. Plus him being friends with Blue Beetle just further enhanced the experience.

I've always been annoyed that Dick Grayson Robin in season 1 Young Justice didn't sport any green in his costume. The entire time I watched the show I felt something was missing regarding his colors.

And since they didn't put any green now people are confusing Tim Drake Red Robin with him. Just for the record that is Tim Robin who was in season 2 occasionally. And yeah Nightwing or really most of the main cast didn't get a lot of screen time.

And I say this as someone who really enjoyed the focus on blue beetle. I very much enjoy the concept of the character and the character himself especially how he was portrayed in YJ (Brave and the Bold is also a pretty fun portrayal)

If the characters are speaking in the game, they still add text at the bottom of the screen...why?

Because some people (like me) like having subtitles.

Also because they often are stupid and don't mix the audio well enough for you to even be able to hear what the characters are saying.

Oh my god yes sound mixing is something I've also complained about in the past and yet no one ever addresses for some odd reason. There are times when the background noise is extremely loud and it drowns out what the characters are saying. And God help you if that happens and there's either no subtitles or they're as minuscule as post gen 7 stuff.

The previous infamous games already have a ton of problems themselves though, fun as they are. But what are some of the problems of this gen that the new infamous exemplifies?

I'm pretty sure it's shorter and possibly smaller in map size.

Lower variety of things you do.

There's a subset of side quests that you have to log in and make an account somewhere or some shit to even do.

It has forced motion control gimmick stuff that just screams "Sony demanded we try and justify their controller gimmicks!" The spray painting literally serves no function except to go "See? The controller can do things!" as you can't even fail it. It's just "please entertain Sony's hardware gimmick for a minute"

The game goes with pretty abstract concepts for powers like "smoke" yet largely uses it to just rehash the powers from the PS3 games, while also generally making a lot less sense than they did in the originals.

I expect sequels to basically go "Did you like the last games? Well here's more of that, expanded and elaborated on, and with bigger and better everything and new ideas!" and I doubly so expect that of next-gen. But that's the problem with this gen. It's not really next-gen like what next-gen used to mean. The jump from PS3 to PS4 was not impressive and due to unfamiliarity with even developing for the console, earlier games ended up shorter on scope and content, and this game is no exception. So we have a sequel, and a next-gen one at that, that is smaller and less varied and barely even puts forth any actual new ideas. It's at best: "Infamous: Another One"

Now, I really like the Infamous game formula and had been wanting to play one for awhile, so this was an okay like...20 hour experience, and I took my time, but it felt pretty lackluster for what it should have been.

HOw... were there motion controls... in gen 8? What is 2006 again? How utterly bizarre, maybe video game cycles really are stuck on an endless loop

Very strange, I didn't know ps4 even incorporated that stuff. Wasn't it released in 2013, way after that fad hype ended?

Before it used to be wrong to smoke opiates, then okay, then bad, then undecided. Do you only find the current things you find wrong to be wrong because of the society you surround yourself with telling you it's wrong, or because you actually believe it yourself even if they didn't? An interesting quandary.

Actually I always liked the ending for how it showed the hobbits being forever changed by the journey. While everyone else around them was having fun, they have all survived an ordeal unlike any other. It can even lead to PTSD, due to them having gone through war and then returned home with no one knowing what happened to them, being none the wiser.

Yeah it showed Sam getting married to his beard but I always thought that was very inorganic and just there to feel happyish. And then there's what happens to frodo, and I doubt the other 2 can go about their lives as normal. I mean they can but the fact is they went through something huge.

That's not my problem with it, my problem is that they're incredibly bloated, need to switch discs for one movie despite them being on blu ray (what is this nonsense) and yet they don't feature anything interesting in their bloated mess of added scenes (except maybe that one important scene in rotk of course)

WOrse, I remember reading on wikipedia once that for the extended editions they were going to include a scene that peter jackson had filmed which included sauron in his humanoid form! Like pre eye look. I think this was the image wikipedia had

http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/lucerne/images/a/af/Sauron5.png/revision/latest?cb=20120712144602

I'm not gonna lie I bought the extended edition bluray that released in like 2012 or whatever simply for that scene. I was hoping for another awesome past section where they showed how Sauron used to look, like what they did for Gollum/Smeagle in vanilla rotk.

I trudge through the entire 6 discs of bloat and that scene was no where to be found. I was pretty fucking pissed.
