also voice chat is proximity based from what i can tell
you can chat with people near you but if you are chatting and jason is nearby he can hear you and know where you are

there are 2 cards you need to refuel, find the keys for and fix the battery on
one holds 4 people and the other holds 2 people
of course you could always be a jerk and take the 4 seater car by yourself escaping while leaving all your friends to die


also jason can stop the car pull you out and kill you if he catches you
you need to drive all the way to the exit

when jason is nearby the music changes to warn the players so you can have time to hide or sneak away


of course jason has a new ability called stalk which will turn off the music change giving non jason players no warning
how long it last depends on how much you move as jason
if you stay completely still then it lasts 3 minutes
if you move around non stop then stalk lasts 30 seconds

a stealth character that can complete objectives easily but isnt likely to be able to get away from jason if found

hiding under beds and closets should be a last resort however
because if jason finds you its an automatic unescapable death


you can also play as jason from different movies each with their own strengths and weaknesses
part 2 and 3 jasons can run which other jasons cant do
but they are easier to stun

part 7 jason swims really fast but cant run
but his abilities recharge quickly

Why? Killing Jason isn't the only way to win. You can drive away in a car, call the police, drive away on a boat, or just survive for 20 minutes.

The game is extremely balanced atm imo.

like the flare gun can now be aimed at jason and a head shot will stun him for like 30 seconds


its kind of balanced a bit with the non jason characters
the non steath characters jason can find easily but they run faster and hit harder so they can actually get away from jason easier especially vanessa who is ideal for distracting jason and drawing him away from the stealth characters because she is so non stealthy jason always knows where she is
the faster characters are also ideal for looting cabins and bringing stuff back to objectives so long as they dont try to repair things themselves.


where as the stealth characters are slow and easily frightened they make up for it by being much harder for jason to find
of course if they are found by jason they have next to no chance of actually escaping on their own
but they can repair things easily
deborah can fix the car in seconds where other characters could take a full minute.

so it is a bit balanced a bit
jason is overpowered but there is only one of him

yes he has both
but the x-ray vision isnt just something he can do whenever he wants
he can only see people who have reached a high level of fear

the non jason players can do things to keep their fear down and avoid glowing red on the map.
with the girl who was based on the traditional final girl of the movies she is almost never afraid so almost never glows red


breaking windows, turning off lights are ways to raise fear levels if you are jason
if you arent jason, staying in pairs, barricading doors, getting a weapon, keeping your flashlight on are all ways to keep yourself from getting scared

someone has to have found the radio and became tommy jarvis
the other player has to be a female character because you need to put on jasons mothers sweater which only the female characters can do

jason has to have his mask off
the female wearing the sweater has to attack and stun jason
then tommy can do the kill shot winning the match by killing jason

i know 7 was censored and every single death was edited to be less graphic but the only censorship i know of from part 5 was the sex scene

the guy who produced the fifth one used to make softcore porn and it really showed in the sex scene which was so graphic the censor board thought the two actors were actually having sex
so it got cut down from 4 minutes long to like 10 seconds

I've always wondered why they kept reopening Crystal lake too. It was like in the first one it was just an urban myth, but after that they had to realize that some serious shit was going on there. That doesn't just require the Sheriff and his idiot deputy. THAT was the only thing I kind of liked about Jason goes to hell. They set up a trap, and then pretty much blew him up.

Then it all just wen to stupid. See Jason's heart? Eat it, proceed to have Jason body swap, shave a guy and then run around in other peoples bodies and not fully appear till the end. Also, that tease at the end was just annoying as hell.

in fact most of the films actually take place on private residences that border the large lake rather than at the camp


the first one is about trying to reopen camp cystal lake

the second one is set 5 years later and its a training program for camp counsollers rather than an actual camp
its more like a work retreat.

the third one is set right where 2 left off and takes place at chris's families farm out by the lake

the fourth one takes place right where 3 left off and also takes place at someones home which just happens to be lakefront property.


the fifth skips ahead a few years and i dont think takes place anywhere near the lake which makes sense since its not jason

the 6th has another large time skip and is the only time the camp is ever successfully reopened

the 7th is again set on someones private residence rather than a summer camp than can be shut down
also it has an unspecified time skip implying that jason has been on the bottom of the lake since tina was a little girl

the 8th takes place on the boat

the 9th takes place all over town

the 10th is space

the others were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and jason rarely leaves his killing area so its safe to assume had they all made it to safety he wouldnt have bothered pursuing them far


what bugs me about 8 is that he chases only the people who were on the boat around the city instead of going after all the new targets the city offers him
he ignored potential villains just to chase the people who got off the boat

it makes no sense.

7 is my favorite
and i liked the characters in 6
at the very least i liked tommy, megen and the sheriff
there was a lot of chemistry between tommy and megen.

i plan to make a topic ranking the friday final girls and megen i like
she has a bit of an edge to her kind of like the bad girl of the final girls

i kind of get the idea that she thinks tommy is crazy but harmless crazy and cute so she went along with him for a bit of a thrill rather than actually thinking anything was real

i kind of got the feeling she didnt really realize just how much danger she actually was in until they got the the camp despite being one of the few final girls who is told jason is out there right from the start

i just wish she had gotten a chase scene
part 6 didnt really have a grand final chase scene
