That's a nice-sized C'Thun. And usually the way I like it in a C'Thun deck, TBH, unless I'm running the 9-drop that puts him back in the deck.

Have not been impressed with the rogue quest. I opened it, and wasn't even interested in running it initially. Played against it with 3 different decks. Two trashed it on tempo, and the third was a slow control deck that held on until fatigue by playing Amara 3 times. (It's hilarious when you steal their Gadgetzan Ferryman twice.)

That last match was dependent on me checking the votes for errors, which I knew I'd be prone to making with two tracks both starting M-A. Turns out I did, but it opened the match wider rather than swung it the other way. The addition of one more MARIA voter, plus the two drive-bys not making a return creates a 3 vote edge in the tiebreaker.

I seen a few comments where people opened 3 legendaries and all 3 ended up being the same. I'd be pretty pissed if that happened to me.

There is less than a 1 in 500 chance of that happening randomly. OTOH, there are a lot more than 500 people opening packs.

Fortunately, (I guess,) I did not have a repeat legendary. I did have repeat epics in a bizarre fashion, though. One would expect to get duplicate #3 before getting triplicate #2. The likelihood of that is extremely narrow.

all but the first match are easy picks. Second one should be a total stomp.

How are you playing the rogue quest? That's the only one I got, and I'm curious how to approach it.

You're going to have be a little more specific, but you voted for MHS, so I'll take a guess.

Even though I wasn't sure what to expect of Maximum High Speed and knew that putting any song against MARIA is, to a degree, "feeding" it, I also realized that MHS had a very real chance of winning that match. I can see my suspicions were justified. At least I didn't DQ those votes yesterday, thereby giving it another chance to win.

I held off on the results post because I knew I was going to need to do some recounting. My independent consulting firm has confirmed these totals with me.

Two of the votes from yesterday that were both for Max High Speed and Title caught my attention, but Title would have won on tiebreakers, anyway, and we can settle the second pairing via rematch. Apologies to the people who hate MARIA and now have to listen to it an extra time.

Dammit, I did it again. I really need to stop doing things at 5 minutes to 10.

The problem with this philosophy is that we get sick enough of it in round 4 and vote against it, and then we suffered through 3 wins for nothing.

I don't actually know the Overwatch characters, and there's a lot of them.

Two things that strike me about distribution.

1) In previous sets, there were 3 key legendaries you were chasing. (3 clan leaders, one of which sucked. 3 old gods, one of which wasn't impactful.) In this set, the "cool" legendaries you're chasing are the quests, and there are 9 of them. That's a MUCH taller order. In a hundred packs, I got one. Four other legendaries, yes, but only one quest.

2) Epic cards seem to be much more scarce than I recall. I feel like I'm really lacking in that category. I only got 2 of them in duplicate, and the ones I did, I got in triplicate. If I ignore the extras, it was exactly 1 per 7 packs. That's a lot of packs to open to come close to filling out the rares.

So yeah, this is going to be an EXTREMELY dust-intensive set. It doesn't help that there's nothing I'm especially excited to play.

And I imagine this is the widest gulf we're going to see. I know Aurora's was 128, but what's 127?

So here's to hoping they make some kind of screw-up again and reward us with an extra 33% of the packs we bought.

It practically puts the song into a different genre, but I prefer the original. Then again, I kinda laugh at all the people who whine about the song. (They probably laugh back at me every time there's a Persona track in a match.)

I was just reminded why I never accept invites from opponents after games.

I'm playing a zoo deck because I have the play-minions-under-2 and warlock-win-5 quests. I slot Volcanosaur into my deck, just because. I end up against a jade druid, and get a decent start, but he answers my first two minions easily. Eventually I drop the Volcanosaur after he puts an Ancient of War out against a relatively full board. I trade sparingly, intending on using my 5/6 divine shield untargetable to clear the ancient and probably finish him off. He concedes, invites me, and I figure WTH, maybe he wants to talk about the Volcanosaur.

No, his text goes:
"well played?"
"quit playing zoo you mouth breather"
And then de-friends before I can answer.

Aww, I'm so sorry I'm playing a deck that happens to counter yours. Did I hurt your precious wittle feelings? I was questing. I'd play pirate warrior if it suited my quests. Zoo is hardly cancer these days.

Some people...but this is why I don't accept invites unless the game was especially awesome.

Arti's vote was the equivalent of a tying goal being scored in the last minute of extra time of a soccer match...except that there were 25 goals score before that, so obviously we weren't playing soccer.
