Honestly there were fairly explicit same sex relationships in, like, FE7. Like it wasn't stated outright but it was still pretty blatant. In some ways I feel like the recent games are actually worse about it than the GBA/GCN era games were.

Generally pay priority is given based on how replaceable you are, and to keep you from leaving to a different job. While the job of the fast food worker is probably less pleasant on the whole to work, it's a lot more likely Kujikawa could do the fast food worker's job adequately than the other way around. If the fast food worker is capable of doing more difficult labor that is supposedly less stressful for them it begs the question of why aren't they? If the answer becomes "because there is no incentive to" that's a sign the system is broken.

I understand all this, and it's getting into a debate I really don't want to have when frankly all I'm looking to do here is make snide jabs at an annoying person, but I feel like I owe you some kind of response. So:

Basically you're right about pay being based on how replaceable you are, and right about fast food workers probably being more replaceable than whatever dumb office job Kujikawa has (though I'd question if he actually could handle food service based on what he's said in this topic tbh). "More difficult labor" is questionable; I'd generally say higher paying jobs are less difficult, not more, but that's just me. Anyway the reason fast food workers don't move up is, well, a lot of reasons. Maybe moving up involves a set schedule that they can't do while in school. Maybe they don't have the necessary piece of paper to do it even if they're otherwise qualified. Maybe they just didn't get hired for it. But none of that is really relevant to what I'm saying here unless I'm misunderstanding you. My whole point is that "my job is so much better, so I should definitely make more than you!" just doesn't make sense, like, logically, even if in reality that's how it works.

i don't even know what your job is enough to comment on how to do it better, but i do know that my friends in fast food take hours to respond to text messages because they're actually working during that time. so like it makes perfect sense that they'd make more than you. especially if your job is always just scanning papers lol

Re: killing characters and them not dying, Fates is much much more lenient about enemies you defeat in battle just being KO'd and not necessarily dead. It doesn't really follow FE tradition in that regard.

I mean, not really. There were plenty of promises he could have made but didn't. If you consider "the poor" as a homogenous group, then yeah he ran on help for "the poor", but within that group he deliberately chose not to address issues like racial injustice, employment nondiscrimination for LGBT people, native peoples' land rights, etc. And he had plenty of opportunities to do so while in office, so his rhetoric matched his actions.

I think my team's gonna have issues with Michalis Lunatic... Didn't get to try it early, but it seems like Kagero and Julia won't be very useful given the enemy types and stat spreads.
