Yeah, from what I read she didn't even want this to go to court. She told the guys employer what happened, and the employer took it upon themselves to fire him over it.

He then sued her for something like $3M claiming that she lied and cost him his job and further career opportunities.

I'm not entirely sure the point of the countersue. It doesn't really do anything, as the jury telling him to hit the curb effectively is the exact same thing. But I guess it sounds better to say they "sided with her" rather than they "sided against him".

As a man who has had to constantly deal with jet lag, here's how it goes.

Day 1) Force yourself to stay up until the normal bed time of the place you're at (no napping!).

Day 2) Wake up at a reasonable hour. Don't oversleep. This night will be the worst, as even if you get up early, you'll likely have trouble getting to sleep.

Day 3) Wake up early again. From now on your internal clock should be reset and you'll be fine.

Seriously, if there's one thing I can't stress enough when it comes to jet lag is do not nap. Napping makes it so much harder for your body to adjust.

I'd say middle class but some would call them rich. Mom's a doctor and dad's head of information security at a large firm. Never had trouble with money but wouldn't say that we were living an excessive or lavish life.

So what would qualify as rich for you then? Honest question, as everyone has different definitions for it obviously.

As one of your parents alone likely makes what an entire average middle class household brings home... Multiple times over. So most of those households would certainly consider your family to be rich.

But I doubt your family was out partying on yachts and you probably weren't even taking lengthy holidays every year (as time off would be more of a hindrance for your parents than the money itself), so it's easy to look at it that way and think you're well off, but certainly not "rich".

Give VR another generation or two.

The problem really came down to price. You couldn't justify spending 600+ on the headset, and then even more than that on a machine that could run it at satisfactory levels.

So only the die hards bought into it, which didn't give it an install base nearly large enough for developers to warrant actually making anything for... Which means no one will buy it because it has no games.

The technology seemed to be there. Most people who have used the systems have said its incredible. All the conventions I went to had large lines of people waiting to use them. But then most of the people who tried it never actually went ahead and bought one, even if they were very impressed with the machine.

1) There is no way in hell Rhonas is getting banned. The card barely sees play.

2) Cards that get banned typically plummet in price, since no one wants something you can't play.

All 5 of the gods from Amonkhet have a similar "can't attack or block unless x" ability, and all 5 have a triggered ability (usually overcosted) that helps them get to the point where they can attack or block.

Oketra needs 3 other creatures in play, and can create 1/1 token creatures.
Hazoret requires one or less cards on hand and let's you discard cards to damage the opponent
Kefnet requires 7 or more cards in hand and let's you draw cards/bounce lands to your hand.
Bontu requires a creature to have died, and let's your sacrifice creatures.
Rhonas requires a creature with power 4 or more and let's you buff creatures to get it to that point.

I don't understand the whole fear around letting companies hold your credit card info.

The literal worst thing that can happen is someone gets a hold of it and uses it, at which point you phone the company, charges are reversed, and you get a new card. Just check your statement every month and make sure there aren't any questionable charges.

Also, at least for me, Mastercard is freaking on top of the game about charges out of the ordinary. Any time I travel and forget to tell them, my card gets locked (I travel frequently enough that I actually just had them whitelist several different cities across North America). Half the time I make a charge on a new site that I haven't used before, my card gets locked. All I have to do is phone them and say it was indeed me and it's all good.

Which... was probably for the best given that I believe it was my second rotation out there when a helicopter crashed in the ocean on the way out to one of the platforms, killing everyone on board the helicopter.

Edit: Nope, it was my third rotation out there. Back in September.

I spent a year working 28 days on, 28 days off. My back-to-back needed to be home for a wedding so I ended up working an extra week on top of that once to cover for him.

It really wasn't that bad. Getting the time off in lieu totally made it worth it. I only had to work for 6 months of the year.

Oh, that year also involved one 36 hour shift and one 30 hour shift (40 depending on how you look at it, as I had to spend 10 hours traveling before I could go to sleep after the 30 hour shift). That I don't recommend.

Yeah... What an easy question. Most dudes have to work way more hours than that to be rich. And lots of people never wanna completely quit working anyway

The problem is that it severely limits what you can do with the money.

If the "mandatory time spent working" was more spread out, it'd be easier to say yes, but as it is it basically means you can never take a vacation for the rest of your life.

If it were, say, you need to work 160 hours per month... Well maybe you just have 2 shitty weeks where you work 80 hours each week and then take the next two weeks off. But nope. You basically have to work 4 days a week every week for the rest of your life.

Also, most people who work way more hours than that to get rich usually do so with the goal that eventually they'll just be making money by existing and won't actually have to put in long hours for it. Make a ton of money, invest it, never worry again.

I've been pretty lucky so far and have usually been able to get what I want, with the exception of Hector.

But I can't complain too much when I haven't spent a penny on the game and have a bunch of amazing 5* units including Ike, M.Robin, Kagero, Boey, Delthea, Olwen, Azura, Hinoka (which I got two of and merged together), and a few others.

Only thing I can really complain about is that my 5* units are pretty blue heavy. Had a hell of a time getting any 5* greens despite spending boatloads of orbs on them. Boey isn't even that good, but his absurdly high defense stat does help him tank, but he just crumbles to other mages.

Why do they give the witches the ability to teleport and why are they so freaking common.

It sucks hardcore when your knights, who are useless against mages, are off tanking an army of melee users and a witch just teleports over and one shots them.

Had I let that go the full 7 years of the contract, that would have been around 23k, which really isn't all that far off from what that same car was worth brand new, even if I only got about 0.99% (which seems to be what pretty much every dealer here will give you on a new vehicle).
