Huge improvement over Dead Zone. However its worth noting that this is actually the 2nd to last movie they did (they did Dead Zone, Lord Slug, both Cooler movies, and Android 13 before this one), as it was part of a subscriber celebration.

I have not watched it, but from what I have heard it depends on the arc.

The first two arcs are apparently pretty lackluster. The 3rd arc is apparently solid. The 4th arc is supposed to be fantastic, with a really stupid ending to wrap it up. The 5th arc is ongoing, but positively received thus far.

Budokai is by far the better fighting game. But Tenkaichi (at least the 3rd one) is a great sandbox, and can look more like an actual DBZ fight. So I would not say its terrible, just different.

But Blazblue is a better fighter than both of them, and this is that team so it will probably be better than any previous DBZ fighter (unless you want the sandbox experience).

Of course I am personally more of a Dissidia guy, but that just shows we all have our own preferences.

Ya, their movies continued to be a bit rough even after hitting their stride with the series (Dead Zone, Lord Slug, and 1st Cooler). I think they start to massively improve with the 2nd Cooler movie of all things. And then Android 13, Worlds Strongest, and Brolly are amazing.

Ok, seriously, why the fuck is Avatar so popular here?

I was wondering about this as well, avatar came on just as I was getting out of cartoons but it seemed a bit childish.

You would think that, especially going by just the first few episodes. It seeming childish was one of the reasons I avoided watching it for years. Watched it for the first time a little over a year ago, and honestly it is a great show with alot of depth and character. Honestly most shows (animated and live action) would benefit from tacking some notes.

And its not just popular here, it has a 9.2 on imbd. All three seasons have 5 star ratings on Amazon.

Except for 1-2 episodes, the entirety of Avatar was solid (and they even made fun of those 1-2 episodes in the brilliantly done recap episode). Great animation, great characters, great story, great action, and great comedy moments. And the world and setting were expertly crafted and fleshed out.

Teen Titans was a less good version of an existing property. Great animation (usually). But everything else tended to be hit or miss depending on which season you were watching. It had its highs, but it also had deep lows. Also a bit less impressive as again, it was an adaptation of an existing property (the original being better).

So ya, giving it to Avatar this round.

With that in mind, I enjoyed book 3 of Korra more than anything TT had to offer, so it gets my vote.

Probably because Morrowind gave you more options (including flight!) and a larger map. However, the graphics, gameplay, etc, don't hold up.

That's how I see it. I know mods can tweak any of the Elder Scroll games until they are "perfect" but at its default I thought Morrowind offered the most customization and depth. What I thought the later Elder Scroll games did better though was the size of the dungeons. Maybe I didn't explore enough but I thought Morrowind lacked in the dungeon exploring aspect.

Yep, later games had better dungeons. But Morrowind had a better overworld and cities. There were neat things like the mages city, where to get anywhere you actually needed to know the levitate spell. So if were were not a decent magic user, no mage city for you.

Yep: http://time.com/4800000/tim-walberg-god-climate-change/
Michigan Rep. Tim Walberg said during a town hall in Coldwater, Mich., on Friday that while he believes climate change is real, it is not something for humans to solve.
"I believe there's climate change. I believe there's been climate change since the beginning of time," Walberg said. "Do I think man has some impact? Yeah, of course. Can man change the entire universe? No."
He continued: "Why do I believe that? Well, as a Christian, I believe that there is a creator in God who is much bigger than us. And I'm confident that, if there's a real problem, he can take care of it."

Which based on passages in the Bible about humanity being charged with being stewards of the Earth, and others saying not to test or temp God, would probably be the equivalent of taking a dump all over the floor, then calling your landlord at midnight to demand he come over and clean it up.

As a religious moderate who believes in climate change, surrounded by religious conservatives who do not, this makes me sad.

Too bad everything has been so badly tainted on that front, that there are so many skeptics. All the misinformation purposefully printed to mislead. Corrupt politicians hoping on board the climate change movement for a quick buck and/or vote, making it easier for the anti crowd to cast more doubts. And the earlier boiling down of the whole issue to simple "Global Warming".

When I tell those around me that deforestation, urbanization, abnormal migratory patterns, over hunting, over fishing, and air, water, and ground pollution are all forms of Climate Change, I get blank stares followed by more talking points.

And honestly, the religious part might be more the problem than simple conservatism. Oh wait, it's because most people in the U.S are unable to form a coherent political opinion on their own

Our education system is a major factor in that. The entire thing is geared towards just telling you to listen to things and commit them to memory. As such people apply that to the rest or their lives over time, letting the opinions of others become their own.

And when they are presented with something that threatens their worldview, they don't know how to rationally respond and resort to reciting more talking points, or name calling.

Terrible rebutle. That doesn't disprove Lee's racism.

I am not try to disprove anything. I am simply stating you can't condemn one side for something, and forgive someone else for the same thing just because they won. The north would have likely let slavery persist for decades if the war had never broken out, or if the south had surrendered early.

Lee came very close to being the head general of the Union forces. The only reason he turned down the job was because Virginia joined the Confederacy, and people had much more loyalty to their state than the US as a whole at the time. But the north still wanted him.

The nation as a whole was pretty shitty back then. But soldiers on both sides died fighting for their homes and families, whether they individually believed in slavery or not.

So you're making 16k or less now after at least two years? That's barely above minimum wage. What "field" is that in? You made it sound like you're working in some kind of skilled trade, but if you're making that little after 2+ years I really wonder what kind of job it is you have now.

Or are those 5+ years of experience jobs completely unrelated to what you're doing now? If they are related, you could just apply anyway, most job descriptions are bullshit.

I never said I was in a skilled trade. I said previously I have BS degree in Pre law and studied economics on the side. End all current welfare programs remove their administrative costs. Replace them with a single program tied to peoples tax returns paying them (as an example) half the difference of what the make and $30,000.

Honestly, this is going to become a real big discussion over the next 50 or so years. We are approaching a post scarcity environment. Automation and robotics are increasing at an exponential rate, and unlike the past, job creation can't keep up. Wages are continuing to stagnate and/or decrease for the lower and middle class. 8 people control 17% of the worlds total wealth, and centralized banks hold around 40%.

If these trends continue, something has got to give. That could take the form of mass starvation, civil unrest, new government programs, or entirely new economic models we have not considered seriously yet.
