It's expected that if you're younger you hop around jobs more often and that older people (Lets say 40+) try and find a more constant source of income as their not as marketable in the software engineering field. Younger engineers are more desirable but more volatile, where older devs like to keep things safe (generalizations of course).

All of this is based around getting into the higher pay brackets. You're more likely to get a raise going between jobs than via a yearly bonus. This year I got a pretty shitty raise but some amount of RSUs because the company doesn't want me to leave (as RSUs take several years to vest).

It's 2pm, where did Tom go? Let's fire him and hire someone who stays around until 5pm. In a lot of salaried positions appearance often matters as much as productivity because employers generally suck.

I don't fear losing my job. I takes like 3 months to get another Software Engineering position. If my work doesn't value me as an employee I don't see the point in working there anymore.

I work 7:30-3. Sometimes 4 if I feel like I need to. I also answer questions / emails at night if need be.

I will not work more than 8 hours a day. I do not see the "point". After a specific amount of time working on a problem you gotta step away and cool your head.

I will not work on weekends.

I have no issues with my 6 hours pto every other week. I'd like 8 hours every other week because I like flat numbers (and it would be cool if every other week had a 4-day weekend.

It's a common issue with the phone. I would suggest getting one of the wireless chargers. They're pretty cheap.

I think mine started breaking a week after I got the phone. Eventually it just stopped working.

I think they messed up. Ys VIII is coming out on PS4 and is pretty hyped up by the Falcom fanbase. If it were done by XSeed we'd be seeing a PC release too but can't be sure with NIS doing the localization.

Edit: Ys VIII is coming to PC too so this isn't an exclusive.

Steam has these things called "Indie games" that usually kick AAA's ass.

Is PUBG on that list? No I didn't think so.

Lawbreakers will probably be better than any of the garbage put out on Consoles this year. Beta was fun as hell.

Usually PC games are not released months to years in advance like PC games are (Look at Square Enix's Bullshit). PUBG had next to no exposure before it's release and there are 100k people playing the game at all times now.

I usually take off the month of December. Well, almost the whole month. Usually it is more like 3 weeks.

I either spend the time playing a really long video game, or go down to Florida for a week before Christmas and New Years. We have direct flights for only like $80 round trip, and hotels are pretty cheap in Fort Lauderdale.
