The only things that would justify something like that are already crimes, such as threats or inciting violence, hate speech, etc. Those are all fucked up and aren't protected. I'll probably sell it and then buy an Xbox One S just for the 4k Blu-ray player and it being roughly the same price as a standard 4k player and I still actually collect physical movies for my home theater which I plan to upgrade to 4k and 7.1 surround later this year. Aside from that there's really no reason to even buy an Xbox anymore unless you're just poor and can only spend like $250 on the S model just to have something that can play modern games (despite PC still being cheaper long run) or because your friends are all on that platform but then that raises the concern that you need to get smarter friends who make better buying decisions. There's no reason to buy an X model because by the time you've owned it 5 years it will have already cost you $800 for the system and the Gold membership required to use it which you could just get a better spec PC for the same price and have access to more features like mods, near infinite forward and backwards compatibility, cheaper games, better sales, etc. And even if you're poor you'd be better off getting the base PS4 over the Xbox because at least it can run games at 1080p usually and generally a more stable 30fps... --- |

They make it look as though you need super high end hardware to run 4k because they test everything at max settings and generally at max settings you run into diminishing returns. If you're willing to drop down to more medium settings and optimize the settings better then you can generally get great 4k performance even on more mid range hardware. Which is exactly what the Xbox will be doing anyways, it sure as hell won't be maxed settings. And one thing you're not factoring in is that say you want to use it for 5 years, that's $300 you'll have to spend on Xbox Live just to be able to play online. So now you're already up $800 for the system just over a 5 year period and then not to mention that PC games are cheaper than console games, have better sales, support mods, almost infinite backwards compatibility and near 100% guarantee of future compatibility of your current games in the future on new hardware, and ntm just the added benefit of having a PC. It's just an inferior PC on a closed ecosystem and it has no exclusives since all are on PC. --- |

NetBalancer worked perfectly but the trial is over so I can't use it anymore and NetLimiter is what I'm using currently and it doesn't really seem to work right for me. I can't get it to lower my upload speed any lower than 100kbps and I really need to lower it to around 75kbps which is about 50% of my max speed and seems to be where I need to keep it in order to still get reasonable download speed as well. Any better free software out there than NetLimiter? --- |
