CA is another concept that's just....absurd.

On one hand they tell people they can't dress using elements of another culture and on the other hand it's ok to identify as being part of another race even if they're white. Ridiculous.

No no, I already included both of you in the 27. You're both on the official list.

I'm also on that list, but if I remember correctly I think I stopped playing the game about halfway through because the story wasn't all that interesting, and I hated the combat system.

So I'm 28 then.

This was a favourite of mine. The last I played it was 3 years ago though. Ah, memories.

But seriously, this was an underrated game. :(

I can't say I know you intimately but...

From what I've seen, you're a decent person. You're very, very down on yourself though (albeit not unjustly) and you seem like someone who has problems they need to work through. But at the same time, you're not really a "downer" either - you don't bring a lot of attention to yourself or your problems, at least not in excess (hey, everyone needs to vent sometimes).

Overall you seem like the kinda person I'd like to get to know more and befriend, perhaps. (You're a bit old for me to consider anything more though, no offense. :P)

Ha, rejected before you even got to know me. lol
At least I look young, so there's that.

Anyways, you should've seen my topics around a year ago. It was in excess, and they still hate me for it. Many posters here won't even talk to me any more, despite not having me on ignore. These topics let me know if I'm right to hate myself, or encourage me that I'm not so bad. It's cathartic either way.

No one deserves to hate themselves. You shouldn't even entertain the thought. This is all just Internet fun. Nothing more. What ever happens here should never ever affect your overall life views or self esteem.

The picture itself is not offensive but rather the fact that her own father has posted it, is where the offense lies.

And we need only common sense to understand why it's raising some eyebrows.

He's proud of her. I understand that. I think it's a wonderful thing for a father to be proud of his daughter's achievements. But of all the pictures he could've shared, the question begs to be asked: Why did it have to be this one?

Fathers traditionally protect their family's chastity, innocence etc etc. And I understand that the modern world is changing but that's not to say that all traditions are rubbish. A father and daughter's relatiolship is supposed to be filled with love, trust, respect and innocence. Any sexual imagery isn't to be associated with this relationship at all and this is what this picture paints for everyone to see.

For me, personally I do not care as it doesn't affect me personally. But from a bystander's POV, I believe it to be innapropriate as there are hundreds of options to have been had and instead, he chose this picture. Unless he is a complete fool, this picture only serves to provoke and gain attention.

That varies on a case-by-case basis. There are plenty of cases that do respond better to medication than to any other treatment option, and those people should not be criticized or judged for going with the most (or in some cases, only) effective treatment.

All I know is when I said to the doc "medication wouldn't fix the problems I'm having they will possibly only help with the symptoms" she agreed. I'm aware some folk do take medication, have CBT or even both. Getting to the route of the problem is the most important thing though. That isn't done though medication. That's why some folk take them for so long too and I do wonder if the medication is actually making their issues worse with the side effects associated with them.

Stating this isn't attacking those who take medication. I mean I only wish I could pop a pill and all my anxiety issues would go away forever but realistically that's not how any of this works.

Exactly this.

Life can have many, many bad things to happen to a person. But this isn't always the only option. There are millions of people suffering out there and most don't have the luxury of prescription medication. They simply keep living; keep trying to survive, keep on trying...

Resilience is indeed a wondrous concept.

A long conversation on my wrongdoing; most importantly WHY it was wrong and how my failing affected others at home. It's mostly tied to religious teaching followed by alone time to think on things for myself. Followed by days of chores to chastise and instil humility.

My parents don't hit. But they do drive their point home with words; examples and stories. That worked out best in our family.

Purgatory
You have escaped damnation and made it to Purgatory, a place where the dew of repentance washes off the stain of sin and girds the spirit with humility. Through contrition, confession, and satisfaction by works of righteousness, you must make your way up the mountain. As the sins are cleansed from your soul, you will be illuminated by the Sun of Divine Grace, and you will join other souls, smiling and happy, upon the summit of this mountain. Before long you will know the joys of Paradise as you ascend to the ethereal realm of Heaven.

Purgatory Repenting Believers - Exteme
Level 1 - Limbo - Virtuous Non-Believers - High
Level 2 - Lustful - Low
Level 3 - Gluttonous - Moderate
Level 4 - Prodigal and Avaricious - Low
Level 5 - Wrathful and Gloomy - Very Low
Level 6 - The City of Dis - Heretics - Very Low
Level 7 - Violent - Low
Level 8 - The Malebolge - Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers - Low
Level 9 - Cocytus - Treacherous - Very Low

This was an interesting topic. I don't really get around a lot go see these types of quizzes. Funny and entertaining to be sure.

I leaned towards being a Glutton though at Moderate. I do love my food and restaurants.

I think it's important to try and live as simply as possible. However that being said, I also think that all human beings deserve happiness (without infringing on someone else's rights or laws).

I also think the questions were very streotypical and direct. Since there are many things in there that I don't practice, I got this score. In a way, like all of these types of quizzes, it's biased.

EDIT: The Levels of Hell scoring

Hehe...it's funny how he says that's it's his money.

It really isn't.

He owned a trucking company, then sold it. He used his profits to live without working, as he partied it up and slept around. Then after he was hit with child support, he couldn't afford to do that any more, and blames them for it. He said that he went to court over not paying, and he supposedly told the judge he wasn't going to get another job so he wouldn't have any income for them to take. The judge told him they'd just take what he still had, then he'd end up in jail over it. He's been bouncing around different jobs ever since then, and he's causing problems here too. He's way too set in his ways of getting what he wants and having others deal with the consequences.

I do understand. The world we live in is unforgiving when we stumble with our choices. Ah, this takes me back to my young adulthood years.

My father wouldn't discuss marriage or sexual health with us as he viewed it inappropriate as he was our father and us his daughters. My mum did all the talking; dad was using her as proxy. XD

He had her tell us some simple advice.

1. Work hard and honest.
2. Practice safe sex (so that we may not start an unplanned family).
3. Be aware and responsible for our choices in life (as people don't often get second chances. And NEVER BLAME our mistakes on others. Accountability is key).
4. Save, save, save (have a nest egg for that rainy day and own a home while having liquidity)
5. The world is unforgiving (when people make mistakes, they spend years- even decades- to just get back up)

And lastly:
6. Live simply and humbly. :)))

So yes. Your colleague had a harsh punishment. Well, as they say, experience (painful) is the best teacher.
